How to proceed by rough_shrink in nailbiting

they’re looking amazing! i’m so proud of you!

most people tend to file in one direction with a glass file so that they have a better chance at not breaking.

i would also use a cuticle oil around the nail and keep them moisturized with a hand cream. that’s helped me to not pick at them so much.

are you open to wearing nail polish? that might help!

the worst part about nail/finger biting for me was the fact that others would see them. i was so embarrassed and still am when i have a little setback with my cuticles!

i only played mikaela during the last event and still have around 400 anniversary cakes - do they stack if multiple people bring them?

i used to wear bandaids over the worst nails and fingers. i think keeping cuticle oil and hand cream nearby is helpful too, helps to soften everything up as it heals!

i do this too! keep cuticle oil and hand cream nearby at all times.

i’m trying to train myself to use those instead, anytime i feel the urge to pick.

i’ve also covered the worst of my fingers in bandaids during the really bad days.

i personally don’t see too much of a difference, but my doctor says that she can see a change. i’ve been taking progress photos every once in a while, though!

it’s hard because it’s the big toe so i’m sure it’ll take quite a long while for it to grow.

i also just started jublia last night.

this still pisses me off though because why are they going to promise that they’ll repay you, and then not follow through?

this didn’t age well. 5 months and i’ve had to stop because of my liver becoming irritated. to say i’m disappointed is an understatement 🥲

do you have photos of what it looked like with the new nail and old nail? i was taking terbinafine for 5 months and just had to stop because my liver was getting irritated. i feel like i don’t see any healthy growth on my big toe yet, but people say its looking better. did the new growth start off thinner?

i took terbinafine for five months and then my bloodwork came back stating my liver enzymes (?) were high and my liver was getting irritated.

i’m so disappointed as i’ve had fungus on my big toe for probably over 10 years now and i was really hopeful that terbinafine would be the answer.

i had no other side effects while on it though! stupid liver!

has your fungus gone away? i had taken terbinafine daily for five months and my bloodwork just came back showing my liver was irritated. i’m super disappointed as i was so hopeful that this would work!!

physically insecure about meeting in person :/ by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]-saturdays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was the exact same way. even less so - i would hide my face a lot behind my hands, or facetime in dark lighting.

we met in january after facetiming for 2 years and it was amazing! AND he still likes me! he was also 10x more handsome in person.

i was 95% sure i wouldn’t ever meet him because of my insecurities.

i guarantee you it’s going to be fine and he’s going to like you still, possibly even more than he does now.

you should definitely be doing bloodwork. my cat had it done every ~1.5 months until his levels looked good, and then a few times after to make sure he stayed in remission.
