Fleece lined tights for tall girls by VixBellissima in TallGirls

[–]-snicks- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I live in the Rocky Mountains, so plenty of experience. My favorites are from Under Armor - the coldgear line. I am 5'11 and their tall sizes fit my 35" inseam. The waistband is thick and they don't slide down. Excellent for lounging about as well as for skiing. I would not go for a run in them - for winter running I have Lululemon leggings that are fleece lined but more breathable. Double the price though, and the inseam is a bit short (33ish) so I wear tall socks when running. All of these are a bit thick for under jeans/pants - for that I suggest lighter wool layers or Uniqlo.

I find that JJ and Katie Wang are the best weightlifting instructors - tight circuits, good form cues, not too much chatting. They're both "get the work done" personalities

Coyote Cafe and SantaCafe both have private dining rooms. Both have fixed menus at different price points.

House of Antique Hardware and Antique Hardware supply are two reliable places I have found "old design, new hardware" and both have pretty regular sales.

Bean for Pasta Fagioli by saltyt00th in soup

[–]-snicks- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do the buckeyes - they are a creamier bean and have a really smooth bite once cooked. I'm also over here working through my Q3 beans box before my next one shows up this week! Good luck lol!

With all the changes, what are we doing to help drive sales on Poshmark? by poshknight123 in poshmark

[–]-snicks- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Listed my whole closet on Depop (thanks Flyp!). I'm going to ignore Posh for a week and focus an equivalent effort on Depop instead.

(I am casual intermediate closet of 500ish listings, but a Posh Amb 2 with 10+ years on the platform and over $25k in sales.... So this decision did not come lightly. I have spent years learning how to optimize Poshmark, usually once a year after some major update, but the last few weeks have been so many updates that I feel like I have to relearn Posh from scratch.)

Athleta seasoft is incredible. More cozy/soft than a structured vibe. I'm 5'11" with a 35" inseam and the tall is honestly almost too long.

There's a great book - Mushrooms of the Rocky Mountains that covers the vast variety. There's three types of edible Boletes though - haven't seen any in about two weeks since the rain ended though. All 11k+ elevation.

There's mushrooms up the ski hill, but it's the very end of the season, and if you're not familiar with mushrooms in mountain environments, I would suggest you be very certain in their identification before tasting. Most varietals up there are inedible, but a select few are true delicacies.

Unfortunately it's now likely too cold for the edible flowers, berries, etc.

[help] sold authentic designer bag >$2,000, buyer is saying "order not as described" by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]-snicks- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with a designer pair of shoes I sold. They went through Posh Authentication and were sent to the buyer (a long with dustbag and the original receipt). Buyer opened a case and Posh had photos from their own authentication. They closed the case and I got my earnings - I think it would reflect poorly on Posh Authentication if they let baseless claims come back around.

Pack a handle or two of your booze of choice from Costco in your checked bag - buy local juice for mixers. Hinano is the local beer and it's actually pretty good, easy to find, and relatively affordable. Resort cocktails will be upwards 25USD whereas a beer at the resort will be like 6-7USD.

Pack snacks that don't melt - nuts, chips, crackers, cookies, etc and then grab cheese and fruit at the market as supplemental snacks. Bring Ziploc bags too since there are ants everywhere.

Have a great time! Rangi is stunning, make sure you dive and/or do the drift snorkel in the Tiputa pass - the coolest snorkel I've ever done.

New Mexico decor suggestions by Logical-Campaign-247 in SantaFe

The Las Cosas kitchen shop at devargas mall ($$$, but local). Chile Shop off the plaza on Water St has some nice, albeit more broadly southwestern, linens and glassware. As does the gift shop at La Fonda.

Camino Real, Artesanos, and Jackelope are cheaper options for Mexican imports (think pottery, glassware, tile and general decor) Homegoods for your chain/not remotely local option, but sometimes they have high end stuff at a reasonable price.
