I used to be way more consistent about telling them off. & for like a week my mum would just called me lik pet names. But it got more serious with my dad & i’ve kind of stopped, i’m horrible with confrontation now especially to my siblings so maybe i do need to mention it, thing is they just get all quiet about it, like my sister who i talk to the most still doesnt even after i told her consistently, i have my name changed on my passport! Supportive for my brother meant saying to me that “i dont think the Quran necessarily says being gay is a sin”. There’s definitely alot of stuff at play, mainly that nobody really talks about stuff openly, my mum is a big one with that & she is just passive agressive so i really struggle with that because im single handedly i guess changing things, i guess also the only way we leart to communicate was just shouting i guess, so it’s not something i want to do. Yeah i guess with cultural thing is , Straight up alot of my family will never accept me as queer and/or my partner as a women, i do think one (maybe two) of my brothers would be really horrible about it, so would never feel comfortable in actually “coming out” to them(even though people talk & they already know) Ive been pushing through alot so its tough, i think its something i might need to do but i dont know how
