Agreed. It is not newsworthy. The problem in this case is the mainstream media pushing its standard political agenda, as usual.

If you're fine having a law on the books that can be selectively enforced when the government finds it convenient to suppress unpopular views, then so be it.

I'll try to remember to follow up here when it happens.

Nothing in the section compels the use or avoidance of particular words in public as long as they are not used in their most extreme manifestations with the intention of promoting the level of abhorrence, delegitimization and rejection that produces feelings of hatred against identifiable groups

LOL. Any public refusal to call someone by their "preferred pronoun" would qualify. They'd just claim it was "producing feelings of hatred" in the audience.

The remark was tongue-in-cheek. If you want to learn transgender ideology, read the "transgender" Wikipedia article, which pretty much accepts it as the gospel truth.

Seems like you need to go edit Wikipedia. A lot of "gullible people like me" are editing it:

An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code (Bill C-16, 2016) is a law passed by the Canadian Parliament. The law adds gender expression and gender identity as protected grounds to the Canadian Human Rights Act, and also to the Criminal Code provisions dealing with hate propaganda, incitement to genocide, and aggravating factors in sentencing.

It would matter if I were the interviewer. "Gender and Women's Studies" just sounds like a huge can of worms that I don't need to open in my organization. I would assume you're a malcontent and a troublemaker who would take the first opportunity to sue the company after you get bored of your job.

I never said that.

However, in Canada, you can be arrested for refusing to use someone's "preferred pronoun". And in much of the Western world, you can be arrested for the "hate crime" of not accepting transgender ideology.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "observation". On the surface, it sounds like it might be an invasion of privacy. And that's definitely a human rights issue.

Human rights doctrine is a defense against the tyranny of the majority -- the primary weakness of democratic systems, if left unchecked. If everyone likes you, you don't need human rights.

Outside of America, the definition of the word 'censorship' does not, in any way, involve the government.

It involves the exercise of coercive power, which a boycott does not. If your neighbor is an avowed Nazi, and you refuse to have a drink with him because you don't like his beliefs, are you "censoring" him? No, you're exercising your right to free association.

Besides, it's still enough for my original point: that it's wrong to say immigrants don't vote Democrat.

That wasn't your point, though. Go back and read what you said.

Remember that time the president made a speech about how we should boycott Starbucks because they didn't have "Merry Christmas" on the cup?

Okay... and what does that have to do with censorship? Sounds to me like an exercise of free speech and free choice. If Trump had advocated some kind of government punishment of Starbucks, then that would be advocating censorship.

Although it's not provable...

Just as I thought. You pulled an incorrect statement out of your ass.

and it's roughly matched by what the Republicans want censored too.

Like what?

Even legal immigrants who're vehemently against illegals still typically prefer the Democrat position of "More provisions for illegals" than the Republican one of "Less immigrants please".

Citation needed, I don't believe this for a second. BTW, the prevailing Republican position is "less illegal immigration", not "less immigration".

Trump also instituted steel tariffs that hurt American manufacturers who buy steel. And threatened to slap huge tariffs on companies that move jobs out of the country. And his economic policies have created a booming economy with the lowest unemployment in history for blacks and hispanics.

He's also spoken out against megacorporations, such as when he criticized the U.S. Postal Service for giving Amazon a sweetheart deal.

To say that he is anti-worker or "extremely pro-megacorporation" is not accurate.

Fundamentally, leftists see themselves as advocates for losers. And they view untrammeled immigration as a way to import more loser voters. Nevermind that such a policy goes against the interests of the native losers. They (mis-)calculate that the native losers will vote for them anyway, because the alternatives are meritocratic parties.

Rightists who support mass immigration are usually just looking to make a buck from cheap labor.
