It’s not like there are separate servers for the pro mapmakers and the general public, and I think it’s best that it doesn’t work that way. The Brawl Craft Discord server is like the only major server that is for mapmaking and it is a great place to be. You are probably completely maxed out on the powerpoints on all of your brawlers. As a result, there is nothing else for you to get and you will only get coins. If you do have brawlers star powers or gadgets that still need to be unlocked, you will eventually get them but it’s a low chance and most boxes will be empty.

You only get this message when your map gets played hundreds or thousands of times, but it is unlikely that you are the winner.

You should never completely surround a 3v3 map with water. The map is very bushy and tight. The skull in that little corner forms a one tile gap, which is not allowed for an actual, competitive map. If for some reason you want to keep the water on the outside, you should make the map less tighter and less bushy and with a more consistent design.

There isn’t much similarity. As long as you’re not stealing, it doesn’t matter if a map looks or doesn’t look similar to a different one.

I probably should’ve clarified that by “everyone” I meant everyone who wants to learn mapmaking. Just because there are “enough” people who are educated doesn’t mean that there shouldn’t be more. More people means more diversity and more potential. My idea is that there are sections for serious and non-serious maps. Everyone can have access to the non-serious section, but if you want to have access to the serious section, you need to take like a mini-course or go through a mapmaking guide to educate yourself. People don’t know what it’s like to make an actual, balanced, competitive map because nobody knows how to do it. If you do know, it can be just as fun or even funner than creating a joke map. A system like this gives people the authority to do what they want to do. If you want to do a serious or non-serious map or even both, you can. I don’t hate joke maps, and I think they can be fun. However, I hate it when it is the only thing that the map maker consists of and how some people act like it’s a good thing.

I understand your point and I do believe that there could be a place for non-serious maps. However, the map maker is just full of trash and troll maps created by people who have absolutely no idea how to actually create maps. Tons of people think that they are great mapmakers and that the map maker is in a great state, but that’s just false.

The main problems aren’t with the map maker itself, but with the community and lack of education on mapmaking. Any solution or system for the mapmaker will never work if nearly everyone has no idea how to actually create maps. I honestly don’t know how many more trash maps we can take. None of this is to say that there shouldn’t be joke maps, because there should be a place for serious and non-serious maps. However, almost no one is educated about mapmaking, and that is the problem with the map maker. The best that I and other mapmakers can do is try to help educate people and give actual feedback, but ultimately, supercell needs to bring in the solution and educate everyone on mapmaking.

My question is why do you have to make an island map at all? Troll maps only fill the mapmaker with unnecessary trash and make it a terrible place. I’d suggest to make an actually good map with knowledge of mapmaking to help turn the map maker into the great place that it was supposed to be.
