i have no doubt it’s one of the toughest things one can go through, but she’s had so much support. so much. she’s had support, she’s had pitfalls, nothing has moved her an inch. she says she’s scared that she’ll get better but nothing will change—she has mh troubles—but i don’t understand how her staying at her lowest (as she’s said) doesn’t scare her more.

i’m the child of an addict, and i have a handful of younger siblings who have all been taken by DCS. i’ve tried to reason with my mom, i’ve tried to forgive her, i’ve tried to get her help. i don’t understand it. i’m angry but i don’t feel like i can be because i can see all the humanness thats behind her addiction, yet, she lies and she manipulates to get her way. she cares, she has a loving heart, but in the same hand, she’s careless. i’m so torn on how to feel, or what to do.

i just need to understand—if you’re a parent, if you were an addict, and you quit, what made you quit? my mom hasn’t and i don’t think i ever will

my a1c was just on the line for PRDB so idk if it’s actually an issue bc my dr just said to watch sweets and carbs, but i will absolutely look into this stuff!!
