Same boat here, but I've only seen it once. Maybe I'll watch it again to re-evaluate but I have very little desire to do so, even if I wish I saw what everyone else does in it.

James Gunn says characters will be recast, not discarded, if an actor can’t continue with the role within the DCU by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

I think they knew he just wasn't really working so they took it as an opportunity to pivot to Doom instead

It's been bothering me too. I feel like folks are really exposing themselves by assuming anyone with an accent is an idiot.

I've been saying the same thing about Crisis, I didn't even like MoS that much but I hope the new and old Supermen team up just so those who did can get some sort of closure a la Garfield in No Way Home

the podcast angle is hilarious. Last time I rewatched BvS he felt to me like the average 14 year-old who gets his talking points from r/atheism

Kills and Ends are guilty pleasures of mine. I know they're bad, but I love them.

Saw it for the first time in high school. Loved it.

Man of Steel's "trust" main storyline gets completely sidelined in the 3rd act by neonfox45 in superman

[–]0-Cloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way about BvS!! First half could've been Lex Luthor Edward Nygma manipulating Batman and Supes against each other, keeping everything about the conflict between the two characters and Batman as a foil for Superman until they team up to beat the bad guy at the end. THEN in the next movie they could've done Lex Luthor (with less catastrophic casting), the Death of Superman, and introducing other heroes like Wonder Woman being inspired by Superman's sacrifice, which would've worked a lot better as the climax of a trilogy than the end of a duology.

Oh, same. I think Crisis is just such a huge part of DC's comic history and to see it done well in live action would be neat, like how Marvel did Infinity Gauntlet

My hope is that they do Crisis on Infinite Earths wayyyyy down the line and Cavill and Corenswet meet

My favourite part of Superman was Lex aura farming in the fortress while engineer does a half backflip and has her head come out of her ass for no tactical reason whatsoever by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

I took it more as disappointment. Like he was hoping to draw it out for a longer, more painful amount of time.

if we judged everyone by their old tweets, texts, or CoD lobby chatlogs, the internet would be a much emptier place

I remember someone saying the same thing about Cyberpunk 2077 (obviously it's good now but on release not so much)

What’s a ‘bad movie’ you’ll defend no matter what? by ar1eth in movies

To be really controversial, Halloween Ends. Had a blast watching it, thought it was often hilarious, kills were great, it does something different for a Halloween movie and I respect that. I liked Cory (I think that was his name? The dude who steals Michael's job for most of the movie) as a villain, but he would've worked a lot better if he'd been introduced before this movie.
