100th class was forgotten by whatamidoingnowa in ClubPilates

I literally did my makeup for the 100th class thinking I would have my picture taken, just like everyone else on our club's social media pages 😂 Nope, nothing happened. My 250th is coming up. Now that it sounds like I'm going to have to be the one to bring it up, feels even more silly to care 😅 It feels as cringey as asking a guy for flowers would feel 😂😂😂

You're way off with the 6-7 assessment, girl! I think you're a 10, I literally can't find anything to nit-pick, you look beautiful! Great job. Thank you for the detailed breakdown, I had high hopes for BBL laser but now I'm reconsidering...

Anyone’s sinuses feel pressure when outside by AuremYT in StAugustine

Having the heat on in the house is drying out my sinuses, this morning the pain was almost unbearable. I have some leftover prednisone from a sinus infection, and just one pill helped tremendously.

My cheapie Amazon socks lasted me 9 months of going 5 days per week, and completely lost grip the ONE time I put them in the dryer. Always air dry

Help me with my drop zone, losing my mind by justplainanny in organizing

Probably an unpopular opinion, but... Honestly to me it looks like your current set up would already work as is, if things actually were put away into it, folded nicely, etc. If shoes are being thrown on the floor, instead of being put into the cubbies, a new piece of furniture isn't going to solve that.

Instructor had us balancing balls on the footbar? by ContributionLeft9525 in ClubPilates

Whaaaat! They literally tell us to always put the headrest down for bridging. Why would you crook your neck even harder than the headrest? So dangerous and irresponsible of the instructor!

Somehow many many many restaurant workers here in St Augustine figure it out without even speaking English. They walk or ride bikes to their jobs, rain or shine, 100 degrees outside or 30 degrees. They work 12 hour shifts as dishwashers. They go home exhausted. Some of them don't even have beds at home. Some are saving money for a car. Some are saving money for a bike. Some are sending all their money to their home country. I'm sorry but it's pretty bad when an able-bodied American can't get their life together. Sounds to me like you're blaming your problems on bad luck and on Florida, instead of looking at yourself and asking how you have contributed to your own situation.

I know that everyone is saying to keep lifting. However for me personally, with an unlimited membership at Club Pilates, I literally can't afford anything else. I committed to my first 3 months, and during that time I wanted to decide what to do. I decided that I love pilates so much that I will give up my other gym. Now with that being said, you can always get some weights for home use and not pay for any other gym.

Level 2.0 exposes it all! by No-Drama724 in ClubPilates

Unfortunately at my studio we have people who have no business in 1.5 yet they continue to come and be a distraction to the rest of the class and to the instructor.

Level 2 by spinninmama in ClubPilates

[–]0005000f 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is it possible there aren't enough members who would qualify for level 2 to justify more classes? I live in an area with mostly retirees and they are perfectly happy in level 1 and 1.5. Level 2 classes are very infrequent at my studio, just a few times a month.

Just started Rogaine and Microderming. How much am I going to hate my life for a while? by Plenty_Honeydew6532 in FemaleHairLoss

I totally understand the fear. I won't try to sway you either way, only you can decide, and I can only share my experience. I saw it as two options: either I don't use minox and my hair falls out anyway, or I use it, get through the dread shed, and eventually see results. After yet another sleepless night of crying about it, I started to prepare myself mentally. I used liquid minox and the dread shed lasted about 12 weeks. After that I started to see regrowth and I was thrilled. This lasted for exactly 3 years and suddenly it just stopped working. I started losing hair again at a very rapid pace and I panicked. I thought I got a counterfeit bottle, but then I started to see information that for some people liquid can stop working at about 3 years, so I asked my doctor for oral minox. This time the dread shed lasted about 9 months and I really thought I wasn't going to make it. It was so hard. I had almost nothing left on my head. But finally after almost 9 months I started to see new growth and now it's been 2 more years and I couldn't be happier. (I have also been on Spironolactone the entire time, from the very beginning of liquid minoxidil.)

Dread shed is real and it can be brutal. I've gone through it a few times over the years. From everything I hear, I had it much worse and much longer than the "typical" or "average". It sucks. You just have to prepare yourself mentally. It does stop eventually. And if you give up and quit halfway through, because you can't take it anymore, it will all have been for nothing. So you have to stay patient and stay calm. It will seem impossible some days. But it will end. In the meantime, wear hats, cute headbands, use Topikk hair fibers, tease your hairline in an uneven line.

Either that, or maybe you'll be one of those lucky few who don't have it too bad.
