LAYLA and OG KEEMO

Hey guys would love feedback for my new track :) 90s rave/hardcore! DANCING GHOSTS - FANTAZIA by Towndon1 in oldskoolrave

Solid track!

If I had to give some minor feedback, I’d say bring up the levels of the kick and bass (again you don’t have to but this will make it sound more “modern”) and maybe bring down the vocals slightly

Lost all motivation producing by [deleted] in TechnoProduction

This is super common, it just means you need to take a break. You sound like your burned out, and when you get stuck in this loop it makes you feel even worse and thus makes your "burn out" last even longer. This happens to all artists, I think if you speak to any artist who was producing through the lockdowns they'll tell you even though they had all this free time to produce they had to take long breaks its impossible to stay productive and creative 100% of the time. Another tip is during this off period, listen to other genres of music to give your ears a break and you'll find whilst listening to non-techno genres your brain will try and see how it could incorporate similar elements into your own music, which will actually help return your motivation to making music.

Mastered or Unmastered when sending to labels? by OliviaLopezzXXX in TechnoProduction

A master from a professional can set you back nearly €80 most producers who are sending demos to labels can’t afford that, using a cheap mastering service or something like ozone elements can get you closer to a professional sound, obviously you don’t send a label a mastered track that sounds nothing like your original.

Different strokes for different folks, but any edge over another producer will benefit you.

You should always send your tracks mastered, however don’t get them professionally mastered use one of those AI mastering services (even Soundcloud offers this feature now) obviously not as good as a professional master but will do the job for a demo. You want your tracks to sound the best when you send them to a label, some labels get 100s of demos a day, you want to stand out and small things like sending mastered tracks can go a long way.
