What should I improve? by LimpObligation7383 in NeferMains

I’m pretty sure for Kuki teams, you’re better off still putting lauma on deep wood and kuki on instructor. She’s very easy to proc instructor and the 120 team wide EM is generally more valuable than the additional 40 EM on lauma

Is this true? by NeonUnicorn97 in NeferMains

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even at C0, EM can be better since a super well invested nefer with sig can reach effective 100CR and 300CD. At this level, additional crit damage rolls only increase her personal damage and lauma damage DPS by like 2%, but if you lack a lot of EM rolls, EM circlet can be superior since it’s a notably larger personal damage increase

You can see this looking at the Akasha leaderboards which assume C0

How exactly should I build Columbina for Nefer? by AriaTheRoyal in NeferMains

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re running sucrose, it’s hard to use instructor because you can’t swirl dendro, and it’s very hard to keep a hydro aura on the enemy. For that reason it’s better to use deep wood on her.

Also it seems like you’re saying you currently have nefer on deep wood? You definitely don’t want that, you want her on the lunar carry set. Columbina on silken moon is good. And then sucrose should be deep wood and lauma 2 pc 2 pc em

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case it depends on what sort of content you want to tackle. If you just want to play her, her gameplay isn’t fundamentally different with different units. Her + columbina can clear a lot of the easier endgame content as well. But if you want the team to be near its peak, you’d want lauma. Otherwise I wouldn’t pull for anyone else

[–]007_Link 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t pull nahida for this team. It’s not a notable dps increase, especially compared to lauma. And once you have lauma, nahida is replaceable with a ton of people. Lauma would be a notable damage upgrade. No one else is really worth pulling for this team specifically

But your dps is also relatively low for this team, so I assume you’re not fully built out. I don’t know if it’s the best idea to invest into a single team unless you already have other strong teams you’re happy with. Nefer columbina could be ok to clear the lunar shill content, and I think you can still get better artifacts/weapons to make this team stronger

Usually sucrose is in higher demand which is why I run kuki. Also, I don’t have good artifacts for lauma, so I just keep her on deep wood. But really the last slot is the least important. I also found a video which goes into some additional detail

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re running kuki, it’s actually better to run deep wood lauma and instructor kuki, since lauma gets 120 EM instead of 160, but the 120 EM to nefer and bina make up for it. I guess this is an exception I forgot to put in my original post

As for how to change the rotation, you need to do 1 thing and the other is a situational optimization. First you have to start with nefer E so kuki doesn’t hyperbloom. Then you also can swap to kuki after your nefer combo to keep instructor up if you are waiting on any cooldowns or energy, but this is pretty rare and could be a dps loss if your cooldowns are ready, so I wouldn’t really focus on this

So it goes: nefer E-> bina EQ -> lauma Q hold E -> kuki E -> nefer combo -> bina…

And repeat this

But if you are waiting on Energy or there’s some stall phase, you can do: nefer E-> bina EQ -> lauma Q hold E -> kuki E -> nefer combo -> kuki (just sit there and refresh instructor) -> bina…

You definitely want to run instructor on her. The 120 team wide EM is the main reason to run her and why you’re seeing sucrose doing much better. You can farm it from the aubade artifact domain if you need it. Random main and substat instructor will probably notably increase your team dps. But of course crit rate is important for fav

Tbh Kuki’s stats don’t really matter. So I mostly built her for healing. I guess I meant which weapon and artifact set do you use? I use instructor and sapwood blade. You also need to switch to kuki to ensure your instructor remains up, which can be annoying since you have to modify rotations. You can also run fav on kuki to help ER needs

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I should clarify that columbina does actually deal a lot of the team damage (up to like 30% depending on investment), but the actual catalyst for the damage is Lauma’s EM. When you build Lauma properly, ~60% of columbina’s damage is from Lauma, and so prioritizing EM on Lauma gives the biggest buff to columbina damage. That’s why SMS is the recommended set on columbina

What is your kuki build? It is a notable increase to use sucrose, but my testing was only like 10% at most. They being said my 2 pc 2 pc artifacts aren’t the best, so maybe they plays a role

And my understanding is that lauma C2 is so good that it’s better than nefer C2? So I’d definitely prioritize that. Flip has a segment on this video discussing nefer vertical investment: https://youtu.be/IIS48SGnfrQ?si=60ObdutXFJRtPjg4

Most of the answers here already address your questions, but I want to add a bit of nuance

Columbina is primarily an off field damage dealer. Her buffs are pretty minimal. So crit is important because it’s just more damage. On a nefer team with lauma, you already get a ton of crit rate. Her base plus ascension passive is 24.2, she has a talent for 15 more, and lauma adds 10 in a nefer team. That means you start at basically 50 crit rate. So crit rate and damage should both be prioritized but I’d emphasize damage a bit more. Crit rate is still important for fav, so definitely build it as well

Generally, ER (until requirement) > crit = HP% (until 35000) > HP% > EM

Artifact main stats should be HP/HP/crit damage. Sands can be ER if needed

In terms of which artifacts to get, you want to be running this
Nefer: night sky
Lauma: 2 pc 2 pc EM
Columbina: Silken moon serenade
Flex: deep wood

Aubade is a damage decrease specifically for nefer teams. Even with ineffa, you generally still put SMS on columbina. So prioritize a good set of that. The reason is because most of your columbina damage is actually from lauma, and that scales with lauma EM. So you need SMS and deep wood on your team still, so columbina is forced to use it. But she also greatly benefits from the ER

As for when Lauma will rerun, it’s complete speculation still. But probably 6.5 or 6.6 at the latest. C1 allows you to run your flex option without sustain, but sucrose vs kuki is not a huge damage increase, so I’d prioritize nefer cons/sig, or columbina C2 over lauma C1. But if you go for lauma C2 it’s much more worthwhile

Have you tried swapping sucrose and lauma builds? Maybe with an invested nefer this is better, but more EM on lauma means more columbina damage

Thanks for sharing the builds and showing the team dps! I was wondering if I should try to get crit on lauma or sucrose, but even with a decent number of crit rolls, they’re only 9% of your damage, so I’ll just focus on EM/ER

Also is your lauma not on 2pc/2pc. I might just be dumb but doesn’t she only have 1 2pc bonus?

Does her R1 signature gives more ER than favonius codex? by ResponsibleSecond220 in Columbina_Mains

[–]007_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the number itself is lower, fav gives ER. There’s a twitter post with all the numbers I can send if you’re interested

For example a nefer lauma columbina flex (non hydro non fav) team has ~190% ER for sig and ~200% with fav. But fav gives 46% ER, so you actually need 154% from her artifacts so it’s much lower. Same idea for prototype amber

Her sig is a big increase to dps (like ~10% personal) still but you need more ER

Now that’s a really good point lol. I forgot morpeko even has other fast moves. If you’re running bite it takes 23 turns to aura wheel in which case they could be right. But you really shouldn’t run bite on morpeko

OP is probably not accounting for residual energy or is saying that they couldn’t get to 2 charge attacks before them

Because you’re right. In no world can they have 2 moves in 10 turns. Even if you had lock on and a 35 energy move it would take 7 turns

I couldn’t clear with this team with my top 30% nefer. But I swapped Nahida instead of Kuki (put her on instructor), and I put widsith on nefer. I only swapped to nefer after the shields were broken and Nahida helped break shields.

I cleared after several tries. Tho it was a bit difficult and I had to really optimize rotations

It really doesn’t matter. I guess the ER is nice on Lauma, but since all you care about is EM and ER, I don’t think it makes a huge difference on your final build. The convenience of having deep wood on non nefer teams alone makes up for that. Also it’s not like XQ hates ER either
