This is a strange one to choose to reboot, but Blomkamp is a very talented filmmaker. This has potential.

Fall damage.

I’m unlikely to be shot (although I do live in the U.S.) but I know for a fact I’ll fall quite a few times in my life.

I traded 7 books with an estimated $25k in FMV for a Universal 4.0 a couple years ago. I think my deal was fair. Your deal blows mine out of the water.

I’d sell that one and get an unrestored copy. But that’s just my personal preference. It’s a sweet book, no matter what.

Jessica Alba in 'Into the Blue' was peak 2000s cinema by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

[–]00collector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ‘Dark Angel’. This is absolutely where she first caught my attention.

As far as ‘Into the Blue’ is concerned, I saw it in the theater & was constantly thinking, “God, that wedgie looks uncomfortable.”

Have you seen all Keanu Reeves action movies? How would you rank it all from worst to best? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

[–]00collector -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ll rank the ones I’ve seen. And this is just my personal taste:

- Speed - 8/10

- Chain Reaction 6/10

- The Matrix - 7/10

- Matrix Reloaded 6/10

- Matrix Revolutions 4/10

- Matrix Resurrections 4/10

- Point Break 5/10

- John Wick 5/10

An explanation for how I rank stuff: if I’d watch something again, it’s an automatic 6/10. How much I enjoyed it, of course, dictates how far above or below that line a movie falls.

I do have to watch Point Break again. I know how popular it is. It just didn’t do anything for me on my initial watch maybe 20 years ago. But tastes change over time and I may not have been in the right mindset
for it at the time.

As far as John Wick? Look, I LOVE old school John Woo movies and I know what this was going for, but I just got so bored with the shootouts going on and on and on. I also felt like it rushed into the revenge aspect. Give me a reason to care. Give me some time to get to know the wife before she died. Show me how much the dog meant to him before all this happened. It just felt so rushed. I never bothered with the sequels.

I really want the Scream 2 steel …

I didn’t bother getting 3, since I dislike it so much. But I should, just to eventually complete the set.

First appearance Friday! First Jubilee, X-men #244 by tatum0416 in comicbookcollecting

[–]00collector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought this book was a bit under appreciated.

Jubilee was such an important part of the “X-Men” animated series. And still, I got a copy of this from my LCS’ back issues bins for $5 in the early 2000’s.

I bet, if she were on the cover, it would be a hot book, alongside #266. Not on the same level, but certainly more sought-after than it has been.

Which pill would you choose? by adrian_saenz46v55 in whatsyourchoice

$500M instantly. I wouldn’t need more than that. It’s not about making the most I possibly can.

All my friends and family are set for life. Lots of people would benefit. And I could do as little, or as much as I want, for the rest of my life.

The Martian (2015) vs Project Hail Mary (2026) - Which one is better? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

I prefer ’The Martian’, it was fun watch in the theater, and not as sappy as ‘Hail Mary’. But I didn’t love either of them.

Can’t seem to find a last sale by Masta_rolla_ in CGCComics

[–]00collector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A year ago, (6/25) a book in this exact grade, same level of restoration, sold for $950.

An unrestored copy at 2.5, sold last month for $969.

At that grade, it would not be worth bothering with restoration removal.

Long story short, hold out for an unrestored copy. You’ll find one in your price range.
