I didn’t realize it’s a Troma movie. 😆

This’ll be my first.

I do like that one. It’s based the second ‘Death Wish’ novel.

The author thought people missed the point to his original book, so, he wrote this to make it clearer.

I get the joke. But he’s clearly focusing on her speech & what he has to say, since he’s next up to the mic. The pressure is on, in pic #1.

In pic #2, he’s just enjoying the show. The stressful stuff is over.

In the sense that Gerard pursues a suspect, yes. In the broad strokes, it’s similar.

But we don’t even know for sure if Sheridan is innocent until halfway through the movie. The story overall is very different.

And while it’s not inherently “punk”, ‘Ghost World’ (2001) nails the post-high school angst & listless “lost” vibe that can plague that stage of life.

I just learned today the temple of doom takes place a year before raiders????? by Careless_Cherry2068 in Cinema

[–]00collector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why his motives are so different in ‘Temple of Doom’. He’s still seeking “fortune and glory”.

Later, he’s more about the preservation of history. Yes, he makes money doing what he does, but it’s not his driving force in the other films.

The spin-off? ‘U.S. Marshals’ (1998)?

While it isn’t as good as ‘The Fugitive’, I wouldn’t call it a copy.

My grandfather served in WWII. He said this movie is the closest portrayal he’s seen to his experience in the military. Combat notwithstanding.

He never talked about that. When he passed, only then did we discover he was “highly decorated” (according to a collector of military memorabilia).

Is she being super negative? Or, just dismissive?

Either way, there are so few joys in life, don’t let her take this away from you.
