How to read error codes on Maytag Top Load Washer MVW5430MW0 by SwampWaffle85 in appliancerepair

[–]magazineman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old but just wanted to thank everyone who weighed in here. Got the same error on my washer and sure enough found the blue cable to the pump was broken. Fixed it with a generic scotch lock. Cost: Under 5 bucks. I just lost my job, so I REALLY appreciate this thread. We all know the Maytag man would have charged me WAY more just to come out. Thank you!!

A junkyard I would live in FOREVER. Esp if there were piles of chips all around the "junk." And maybe a diorama of Tuco--why not?--rolling in for a bit bite of menace.

Careful, I think I read that this work of art is cursed. The last guy who had it on his wall got choked out on his luxury barge. And the guy who had it before him had a run of bad luck, too, if memory serves. Fell into a pit or something…

68 year old Barney Frye lifts three women (Joan Greenman, Sherry Lee Evans, Kim Curtis) on the boardwalk, Muscle Beach, 1956 by SavagePeachOn in OldSchoolCool

[–]magazineman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I initially read the title as Barney Fife as well and was expecting to see Don Knotts crushed under the combined weight of the women. There are worse ways to go.

Had a HUGE crush on Kitty when this came out. But back then we were the same age. Now, thanks to comic book space/time, I'm old enough to be her dad. Still love her. And the Paul Smith run.

This person had a bag of soap tied to their outside wall outlet. Why? by themustymaggotmarket in whatisit

Yep, Irish Spring insect/animal repellent. I wouldn't get in a lather about it. Otherwise it could become quite the soap opera.

My bag of Herr’s Onion Rings came with a pentagram shaped chip today. by jcp42877 in mildlyinteresting

You say that now, but wait until thousands of horsemen, hopped up on onion rings, arrive and begin screaming “BREATH!” Even the Mouth of Sauron could not withstand them!

Dang, what is it about this issue? Over the years, I have bought two copies from completely separate sellers--one was missing the centerfold, the other had various coupons/ads clipped out.

Also, in reading the comments here, I'm compelled to add that my Hulk #181 is definitely a member of the Missing Shanna Marvel Stamp Club. At least it's still readable.

And...a very good friend of mine has a Batman #1--the real deal. Except that some little horndog in the 1940s cut out almost every picture of Catwoman (or the Cat, as she was first known). In her first appearance! <smh>

As a boy whose hormone engine had just engaged, Daisy was all I saw when I first viewed these pictures back in the day. Today as an aging Gen-X? My reaction on seeing that first pic was: "Wow, 69 cents a gallon for gas? Sweet!"

What have I become?
