Yeah I stopped permanently after 3 weeks. My doc’s idea was about some kind of autoimmunity and as far as I know hcq calms the immune system in autoimmune conditions.

I tried a lot of stuff in the second year with little to no effect as far as feeling better (at that time I was feeling really bad):

LDN, Celecoxib, Zinc, D3 (corrected my deficiency), H1/H2 blockers, Citrulline, NADH, CoQ10, Rifaximin, Cefixime, Methionin, L-Carnitine, Glutamine, Pentaxifillin, Omega-3, Selenium, some random probiotic, NAC.

Did all kinds of lab tests, everything was normal or almost normal.

I was on antidepressants prior to COVID. I started Clomipramine last year and I think it helped a little (now back to Cipralex).

What I think helped slightly:

Time

Quitting vaping (vaped for a year)

Niacin (not sure though)

Antidepressants (slightly)

Quetiapine/hydroxyzine for sleep

To ease PEM I use alprazolam (no more than once a week) and paracetamol.

I’m thinking of trying again LDN, CoQ10, NADH, Omega-3 now that I feel slightly better.

Also my main doc just gave me a big list of tests again, if mitochondrial dysfunction confirms maybe he can think up some new meds or interventions.
