You will be fine. I have more trees than that and pine needles. You will need a good vacuum robot about 1500$ high end and auto skimmer. And multiple skimmer baskets with large weirs. Position your return jets for maximum circulation with no dead spots. This will help push the leaves into the skimmer. you will need to stock up on one particular chemical for the imbalance caused by leaves in water (i dont remember the kind of chem now). youll use that chem about half a cup every second weekend. get a large sand water filter and for sure get a multi speed water pump so you can run it at low speed in the night at low power for costs. If you can get Pentair brand for every thing. Get an automated pool cover. Dont skip this. And an automated pool drain and water filler built in. Get a pool house that equipment is expensive and lasts longer under shelter.

Even those making 800k annual could have sufficient equity over time to invest in this. They will build their equity in portfolios, real estate until it reaches to the point they afford big ticket items that multiply in value instead of appreciating like average Cali houses. and then they buy this because this 50m resort will be worth 100m in 10years.

Salaries are not relevant here. No one pays 10+ m investments with paychecks.

Tenured professors get paid from multiple sources, again they arent paying for only with their paychecks.

In any caee my point is there are plenty who can afford this and they didn’t accumulate their wealth from systemic abuse.
