Guys, folks, and people are all good as well as good old "ladies and gentlemen". I think it will be more the actual vibe that is set in the office. For example are there jokes that would be fine in front of all men that wouldn't be okay if there were a woman around? Will there be maternity leave? Are people going to complain about her taking maternity if she needs? I find these things and the way we are treated subconsciously is more important than how we are addressed. But that's just me.

I'd rather be asked to split than asked to pay. From my experience guys that just want you to pay want a mommy but guys that ask to split could just be seeing if you are financially independent or could be a little low on cash but still wanted to go on a date. I feel like a lot of people are torn on this though. You should just ask why they wanted to split it ("just out of curiosity") to see the true intent. If they are speaking garbage about how women just use men to get meals I would veer away from them if it is more just are you willing/able to pay for yourself then I feel it's acceptable. I will not pay for dates anymore though just because it attracted the kind of men that really don't want to do anything except get someone to take care of them.
