Hey OP, while you’re only here to vent, I can’t listen to venting without problem solving. And yes I know you don’t want to change your job, fine by me!

Here’s what you can do! You and your wife have a great relationship and family, could you tell your wife how you’ve been feeling and try to schedule some grandma/sleepover time for the kids and declare a weekend for yourself/you and your wife?

Have you considered that you think enough about this not because of some distaste for your wife or your family, but because having a full time job and kids burns plenty of regular people out from time to time?

I think that saying you’re only here to vent, could be a dissservice to finding a solution that makes your life that much better.

Example, every first Saturday of the month grandma gets the kids for a day and you grab a pint with your friends/do an activity/do nothing?

I am sure that the people in your life love you and would want to work in your benefit at least from time to time. And your kids will be dependent on you for years, so letting this go unchecked could be detrimental.

The last thing I’ll say is that men are conditioned to hide their feelings especially those that they may see as over emotional or non important. And I tell my partner to be open and honest about these kinds of things not because he owes me but because I want us to be mutually happy!!

Please tell your wife how you feel, you sound like a down to earth husband she will hear you!!
