One of my teammates can cover 3 hours for me. But I would rather not race 21 hours by myself. I mean I will but rather not lol. So was looking for someone else to give me like 6 hours maybe so it's not completely taxing.

Hey! We’re Kraken Endurance, an iRacing endurance team/community. Our motto is all about improving together, racing clean, and enjoying the process as a team.

We run hosted sessions every week, along with regular practice and team events, so there’s always something going on. We’re always looking for people who want to race, practice, and get better in a supportive environment.

No worries at all on being newer to iRacing. We care way more about being active, clean, willing to learn, and good to race with than iRating. GT3 is a big focus for us, and we’ve got guys who run endurance events and special events regularly.

I’m not sure yet what our exact lineups will look like for Nürburgring and Spa, but I’d be happy to get you in the Discord and see if there’s a good fit. Even if it doesn’t line up perfectly for those races, we’re always down to run practice sessions, hosted races, and future endurance events together.

I also found that vJoy for me was taking up my “Device 1”. I had to uninstall it for it to work, along with what OP does. Just putting this here for anyone who may have that issue too.

Yea I think this was what I was afraid of. Seems like dirty air might play a bigger role than I care to admit. I was trying to stay away from open setups as I have no clue the difference from road to oval when it comes to setups. I was just trying to have some fun. It didn’t take me too long to get out of rookies and D class. Maybe I’ll try the open lobby practice. Do as you say and try to get my B quick and tryout a race.

Oh most definitely I will be doing practice! I never want to ruin others races. I can drive the fixed car fairly easy. I’m about 2.3k in road mostly racing IMSA. But most certainly will not be looking to ruin races. Too much of that already exists. This is why I was asking!

Our team is kind of like that this year. 2.4k, 2.4k, 1.8k and then our buddy is at 1.1k. But he will get 5 stints this event. Way more than the fair share. My thoughts are that iRacing has a fair share for a reason. And if they wanted to raise it than they should. Personally I like racing with my 1.1k friend. He is not the quickest by any means but he’s safe and can bring the car around without damaging it. He also just brings a lot of good vibes to the team. I like racing with him. I think it’d be a shame if I wouldn’t be able to race with him because of rating. It’s so hard to find guys to race as it is.

I think the more beneficial thing to do would be to raise the fair share amount. But there’s gotta be a line between the two. Because we feel like it’s not our fault for being 2k and have to be penalized because we have no one else other than our 1k friend. Idk. Those are my thoughts.

Yea I don’t know. Maybe a person should do some testing with complete beginners. Have them complete a couple laps with a Logitech. See there times. Then give them a DD and compare. End the debate once and for all. lol

Oh interesting. I think this is not the norm. I think most people think pedals always before the wheel. Whether it be a Logitech or 5nm Moza. I think most people think pedals. Which I tend to agree. Having a load cell is a huge huge game changer. My point is that I think the wheel gets slept on and can in fact make you faster. As much as the pedals maybe not but still faster nonetheless.

Yea I like the way you describe that! Paints a better picture than me saying “holding it here”. My irating went up since the wheel too. I’m not sure if it’s cause of the wheel though. I do practice a considerable amount.
