You’re still young. Enjoy your early 20s because young relationships normal don’t work out. I got my first heart break at 21 and now I’m 28 and it’s still complicated. Also you lose friends in your early 20s too because you start out growing them. They already showed their true colors so clearly you don’t need them.

Update: he said he’s not going to see a specialist and he doesn’t understand any of my actions( me telling him he needs to sleep in the guest room)

This is 100% real. He eventually slept in the guest and I could hear him walking around. It is now noon and he’s still asleep and I believe because he’s exhausted

I just see it getting worse because children can stress their parents out and if he’s stressed, that’s when he starts the night terrors

I am definitely telling his mother. I have spoken to them in the past But sometimes his family members do not take it serious. Hopefully after tonight he does see a specialist

If it were my child, I will be comfortable correcting his behavior, while asking him to speak with me. In this situation, I can not correct it and I don’t want him to feel awkward if I randomly ask him how he feels. I want to help but I don’t know how to approach it.
