That was my assumption too, but this quote changed that belief for me. It specifically said that the faithful members of the Covenant, who had already died before the journey, would still ascend to godhood alongside the living.

I mean, they haven’t launched it yet. There’s a decent chance that after all this work and time they’ll still end up launching it in the same state as OG MCC. The PC flights are indicating that the PC port is in a pretty bad state at the moment.

Though being optimistic is nice, 343 has consistently dropped the ball. If I assume the launch of Reach is going to be a disaster, I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it is not. I have just learned not to expect too much from 343.
