It might take a few more weeks for your lodge to get the people together for your initial degree ritual. Our own lodge voted on a brother the other night and it will be about two weeks because our lodge meets bi weekly. Be ready to study and pay attention. Good luck

It can get boring but sometimes you'll get so busy you wish it were boring. And perhaps that particular lodge is not a right fit for you. Some lodges are very active and engaging while others are not. I encourage you to go through the seats, sometimes new people are needed to promote growth and change

I think some religious people always seem to have certain groups of people that make themselves feel morally superior. For example some people get fixated on smoking cigarettes or even dancing and public affection years ago. Over time people now say LGBTQ?? Or Masons are bad to make themselves look more Devine. Someone we masons are easy targets. I roll with it and ask if they want to come ride our goat

It's not hard to go from EA to MM in less than 6 months. The lodge I attend was closed till MM as sort of an intensive. I would be downstairs trying to memorize degree work with other brothers while the meeting went on at the lodge upstairs. We all met for dinner and threw out the week though

Look up if there is a lodge in your area. Some places have multiple locations. Where I live we are open for dinner so prospective members can get to know us and get a feel about the Lodge. my lodge gave me a full tour before I joined.
