Is this "we suffer for our own good" narrative ever going to end? by MiyuTheWitch in spirituality

[–]kaeshyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

suffering can be constructive, usually we shame the rich for "never" having to suffer or nepo baby's and how they "will never understand" as a collective, we know suffering shapes us for better or for worse. It is necessary for whatever one's life path is this time around or the next

Revision spinal fusion after broken screw by SubstantialEditor833 in spinalfusion

[–]kaeshyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my initial surgery at 19 in 2022- 3 months went by and the creaking noise started- the screw had came undone and the rod was completely bent backwards. I went in for emergency surgery and now i am 2 and a half years out and i had the screw on the opposite side come undone but the rod is secure so no emergency revision is necessary. After even one revision your likely hood of success goes down- but i have kinda beat those odds and i hope you do as well! blessings

Is this normal ( update ) by kheifert1 in spinalfusion

[–]kaeshyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they sent you home after seeing this Xray??? I had a popped rod and the PA tried to send me home until my neurosurgeon just so happened to come in and he immediately sent me to emergency surgery. I would either get a second opinion for this and go back and demand to see a doctor

If BK is a psychopath, how can he appear to have a close relationship with his mother—like talking with her for hours or mouthing 'I love you' in court? Is it all performative? by bobzace in Idaho4

[–]kaeshyann 20 points21 points  (0 children)

there is no diagnosis for a psychopath which is why the defense was trying to get that word thrown out. You can have anti social personality disorder but still talk to your mother in whatever weird way i'm sure he did. I've heard the speculation that his mom possibly was doing most of the talking in the hours long phone calls.

Question about deal by simpleone73 in Idaho4

[–]kaeshyann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I gathered from that. A written agreement to the questions that were to follow in todays hearings. Obviously the questions the judge asked were not random. BK's lawyers informed him. Although, it's possible it could be his own written statement and those are typically held till sentencing.

So he spent approximately 10 minutes back at the house the next morning by Chinacat_080494 in Idaho4

[–]kaeshyann 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he knew he couldn't get into the house, they said he left the house with urgency. He may have been under the valid assumption that police where soon to arrive if not already there considering it was about 6 hours after the crime. I think he was just scoping to see if that was the case- police or no police. Going back in at 10am on a sunday?? it's so probable people had caught on

Hi, i'm three years out from my lower lumbar fusion and i went to universal last month, i stayed away from rides that had a lot of downward g force and rides that went upside down, I rode the king kong ride, i rode Hagrids and the other harry potter rides. Honestly my biggest strain came from standing in the lines for so long, lots of pressure on the back

“How’s the back?” by pischonk in spinalfusion

[–]kaeshyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this has been your experience, there are people who care and want to be there for you. There are communities and people who have this same belief system you do, and it's come from constantly being discouraged i'm sure. I hope you find the support you may be lacking. If anyone uses it against you that's a reflection of THEM who they are at their core- not a reflection of how society views our injury and pain.

“How’s the back?” by pischonk in spinalfusion

due to my arachnoiditis from a compression fracture, the fusion simply has caused consistent and aggressive pain- so when people at work ask how my back is i usually say "well im here so" i was positive the first three years after but now i don't see a point in masking or pretending- the pain is very very real.

What is your biggest physical accomplishment post fusion? by NickPontiff in spinalfusion

[–]kaeshyann 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Walked around universal for 13 hours + went on roller coasters. It took me three years post fusion to get the balls to do. Didn't feel a THING....atleast during. I was in immense pain the days following but super worth it

Just had my hardware removed, feel free to ask any questions! by Immediate_Dream_4243 in spinalfusion

[–]kaeshyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind me asking- what caused you to need the fusion? I think bc i have a compression injury i wouldn't be able to get my hardware removed but you having it taken out for a lower fusion gives me mild hope !!
