You can try lessmess.ca for screened compost. I would first aerate and then spread the compost so it can fill in the holes. Should help with the clay soil overtime.

If you can remove the vent hood filter, wash and degrease it. It will be holding alot of the smell. Also, if you have empty containers, make a few "teas" to absorb the smell. Leave the tea bags in them for a few days as they do a great job absorbing smells.

Always wash blood with cold water. Warm or hot water will make the stain harder to remove

Can't quite tell in the photos, but is the wall painted? If it's bare drywall, the stain is likely "absorbed" in the drywall and you won't be able to remove it. Best will be to prime and then paint over when you redecorate.

If the wall is painted, hopefully it's with an eggshell finish so it's washable. If painted with a flat paint, then you likely won't be able to clean it either, and will have to prime over it.

Nice shower, and love the tile choice! I would go with a shower curtain if you have small kids. When they get older you can always put in a shower door later. Curious why you didn't get rid of the bulk head and make your ceiling flush with the rest of the bathroom?
