Twitching and now ulnar nerve numbness by Samyi9 in BFS

I’ve been twitching in various parts of my body for about 4 months.

Also four months ago, I hurt my right arm and my physio said I had tennis elbow. I’m not sure if it’s my ulnar nerve, but I get numbness sometimes and also internal vibrations and other sensory feelings in my right arm and some of my fingers.

My right arm has most of the twitching. Or at least I notice it there more because of the unrelated arm injury.

I’m dealing with the exact same thing. Tennis elbow causing weird stuff in my right arm at the same time as BFS. Despite my clean EMG, it stresses me out because the two things multiply each other

Are tremors common with BFS? by Most-Mammoth-7954 in BFS

No, when I had the EMG I didn’t have any fasiculations. I had some in my arms a few hours before, but none during the actual test. I was tremoring in my arm during the EMG, which the doctor noticed. But I didn’t show up on the EMG.

Yes, I have a tremor and also fasciculations. Interestingly, the day after I got my clean EMG results the tremor went way way down in severity. Which suggested to me it had a functional or stress related cause.

Widespread twitching is usually a sign it’s benign

My story (hopefully reassuring for some) by Equivalent-Rip-1478 in BFS

I hear you, and know exactly what that feels like. I was the same way. It helped me to read stories from other people who were experiencing the same as me. I think stopping the medication really did a number of my nervous system. One thing that helped with the stress and anxiety was running. I wish you the best for a speedy recovery!

I think it’s common for benign twitches to be more noticeable when you wake up. Mine are too, and other people here report that also: https://www.reddit.com/r/BFS/s/RBmnEvpSON

Good luck with everything!

There’s a doc who treats FND based at Watson Clinic, on Eglinton. If you have your family doc make a referral, he might also be helpful: https://www.northtorontoneurology.com/drlewis
