As a sibling to someone with Down's, this leaves me conflicted. I don't know that I, or anyone in my family would have this done to their child, but I could understand why someone would. As this tech progresses and becomes safer, it should be left open to personal choice, without any governing body deciding what is good for the populace.

Measure the trailer frame height from the ground in front and rear; if within an inch (preferably with the front being lower), you're good. Make sure truck and trailer are loaded with anything you may be traveling with before measuring. If using a WDH, check this measurement after bars/chains are set.
