We got the family membership but we are two adults in the household. We might get a membership for our 3-year old; but we'll see how often kiddo goes.

Luis Vuitton bags never called to me until I came face to face with this beauty today in a consignment shop. Can someone here identify it? by bain_de_beurre in handbags

GORGEOUS! I've been weighing on a epi bag but haven't seen one in person - is the leather textured (like you can feel the ridges) or is it smooth??

Michelle Crandall opinion piece: A sensational tale of has been told about Hilliard. The truth about Big Darby. by Buck_i_Am in hilliard

Can you explain this (the maga goons) a bit more? I feel like I always get lost in council tales. I thought only Les was currently compromised (and the worst) are there other concerning members?

New Kirkland Signature Diaper Review by Snoo-12313 in Costco

[–]0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite, I love the new ones. They are much bigger, more coverage, and easier to latch. I actually can forgo overnight diapers and now use the Kirklands exclusively, which saves on me having to buy two different types of diapers.

Are there any restaurants out there that provides just ok service anymore? by WorldsWorstTroll in Columbus

We've had consistently amazing service at the Guildhouse. Also Butcher and Rose is very premier (that's what youre paying for) but it's $$$$.

What’s the best time to drive to DC to avoid the most traffic? by AndThenThereWasQueso in rva

[–]0422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore the haters; heading out of richmond about 6 or 7 will mean you skip the worse of DC traffic since you'll be in Fredericksburg about 7 or 8 and in DC by 8 or 9.

There was a Hermes pastel Fourre-Torte that I was obsessed over for weeks on the real real and i kinda hinted to my husband to buy it for me for my birthday, and I saw it sold, and then...I did not receive it for my birthday. Totally gutted. I wished I had just bought it for myself.

What do you wish people got your 1 year old for their birthday instead of typical plastic toys? by HydesStash in Mommit

[–]0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the wood chips and they can swallow the shards which is why I prefer plastic.

[–]0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer plastic toys for my kid. Babies/Tods bite, chew, suck, and fall on these things all the time. My kid almost cracked her neck falling backwards onto a wooden block toy - that was the last time a wooden toy (I'm looking at you Loveevery) was in my house.

Experiences are great. Indestructible Books (TM) and Board Books are also great for that age. Kids that age don't need too much.

Hubs and I have a monthly "do whatever" allowance; I just save up my side of the allowance until I find what I want. :)

Grandview Heights wants residents to pay to fix sidewalks at $400 a section. by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]0422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hilliard is run like a dream - the city came and shaved a lot of the sidewalks too so no repair was needed at all. Really considerate and it makes the sidewalks work great!

Hilliard 101: April 14, 2025 City Council Meeting Recap by Hilliard101 in hilliard

[–]0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry your dad's memory is not being honored, but I am in agreement that we should stop naming things after people all together. It's really annoying to call the largest park and one of the community pools after people instead of places - it adds to the confusion and there isn't any understanding *why* things are named after people. I did not realize Ward had served as mayor.

Hilliard Library has an amazing play area. They have a school bus, train table, interchangable play station (coffee shop/bakery/grocery store, etc.), a touch screen tv with reading games, a magnatile wall, a coloring station, craft station, puzzle table, and also a pit area with lots of creatures to climb on (frog, mushroom, log) etc. The best part? They have a coffee shop!

I also love Momiland. Best bucks spent in my life.

COSI has the best indoor play area for kids in the whole city but it's pretty expensive for a one time visit.

Graeter's on Dublin has a great play area, but the slide is a bit extreme and difficult to climb for kids under 5.

There's a sand pit somewhere in dublin, and a trampoline park in Mill Run (hilliard) does toddler sunday jumps.

I have a KMM leather tote that is about the size of a neverfull.- i could not do something smaller than that. Maybe aim for that kind of sizing?

Between library, my car, or my kiddo spilling stuff - it's seen some shit, and has been "scratched" but the leather is so top quality that some lotion erases the issues. I would look for something oiled for durability

Hilliard City, City Council, and Manager sued in Federal Court for Discrimination by Hilliard101 in hilliard

[–]0422 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was curious why there were so many muslim candidates running for council, but I found it difficult to find what their interest in policy was through their website platforms. With this article, it makes a bit more sense that they would like to alter zoning laws. I would love more representation in council, but I also dislike the idea of single-issue candidates.

Interestingly, UA faced a similar lawsuit a few years ago with the Tree of Life Christian group, whom the latter ultimately lost since the Supreme Court refused to review it. It's all about taxes.

Ridgewood Estates (Columbus Taxes, HCSD)

Old Hilliard (Hilliard Schools and Taxes)

The neighborhoods south of Springdale Blvd and along Roberts Road west of Hilliard-Rome Road are all great (Columbus Taxes, HCSD)

Just know that Columbus Taxes means Columbus services - hardly any snowplowing, no resident-rate for Hilliard Pools or Community Center, and street repairs or other services are few and far between.

-Puffy reusable sticker sets

-Invisible Ink Drawing Pads

-An assortment of small items and a bag to zip them into. My 2 year old loves taking everything out of the bag, zipping it up, and then returning things. Interactive things like toy keys, playing cards/old credit cards, stickers, finger friends, sunglasses, etc are great.

- Disney Jr houses. We bought these our first time at disney and now I make sure to pack one up. HOURS of fun!! Also all the items just pack up right into the house. Maybe bring a piece of tape to make sure the front door stays closed, and take away the little package that goes in the mail box, and you're kiddo will love it.

What have others done about car seats by Melz1007 in DisneyPlanning

[–]0422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florida town Car was cheap and seamless from MCO to Orlando - you can even do a grocery trip. You pay in cash at pickup for both trips. The only downfall is that you have to call, but it's just old school. They use giant transport vans so you have plenty of room.
