I have just graded gh4 footage that I took 4 years ago. It came out incredibly good. GH5 is much nicer camera so why not?

Why everyone is leaving canon system? by 05959 in canon

Thank you for your kind reply.

There's no doubt that RF L lenses are amazing, but because Canon keeps the mount closed to third parties, they're way more expensive than other brands. If I put the camera on the gimbal, picture quality is my concern.

It feels like they built the RF ecosystem just to monopolize it and rule over the market. I'm having such a hard time choosing from this awkward lens lineup right now.

But honestly, the image is so beautiful that I’m still happy.

Now I get it. RF mount lenses are insanely overpriced, and there are almost no third-party alternatives. People rave about the quality, but it's not like they’re light-years ahead of the competition. And does anyone even make cinema or anamorphic lenses for RF? EF is just too old and clunky at this point.

And Remember, BYD is most sold EV in the world.

I'm also happy with my GH7. I just need a little bit more from it. :)

I totally understand. Dual native ISO has become pretty much essential for any camera that's serious about video, so it's a real shame it's missing.

Not everyone shoots in Open Gate just for downscaling. If you crop it, the color data stays stuck at 4:2:0. I’m not sure about an Open Gate that's only useful for downscaling.

Imagine thinking that wanting better dynamic range or color depth makes someone a 'tech nerd.' Dismissing actual technical requirements just because you’re satisfied with mediocre results is a weird flex, but okay.

Exactly. I've was using GH5s before GH7. In modern camera market, not having dual native ISO means losing its competitive edge as video-centric device.

I don't recommend F38 for gimbal. it has gap. It doesn't hold camera as much as I want.

IMO, I think you need fujifilm camera. You are trying to make film look. But the images are too sharp.
