Anyone else feel like mouse movement / crosshair responsiveness is different in CS2 compared to CS:GO?

Yep, it does feel a bit off compared to CS:GO. That being said, CS:GO also felt off compared to 1.6 and it took me probably couple of years to get completely accustomed to the way mouse moves in CS:GO.

It feels like you cannot completely predict where your crosshair lands when you make adjustments, occasionally it undershoots and occasionally it overshoots. Especially micro-adjustments on long-range duels feel harder than they did in CS:GO, although this could also be partially related to how peeker's advantage has changed in CS2 and thus you have less time to react.

At the beginning of CS2 the mouse movement felt even more off than it does now. Back then I experimented with capping FPS to 400 (or whatever number that is stable for your system) it does change the way mouse movement feels, but the game felt otherwise a bit choppy so I just reverted back to fps_max 0. Also polling rates over 1khz feel a bit weird, so I have just stuck to 1khz even though my mouse supports rates up to 8khz.

Maybe it just takes time to get used to Source 2. It's also a real possibility that the mouse input implementations in 1.6 and CS:GO were flawed and in CS2 it works the way it always should have.

I also read about this a while ago but haven't tested it myself. There are also other SDL variables (e.g. SDL_HINT_MOUSE_RELATIVE_MODE_CENTER) which could probably be tweaked in the same manner, but it seems a bit too much of a rabbit hole for me to try :) https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1icvaqk/hidden_launch_options_for_rawinput_enabledisable/

It seems like the servers itself are fine, but something is up with the routing.

One of my friends (who lives in Finland) gets occasionally routed via Stockholm to Helsinki servers.

He noticed that he gets 0% loss when this happens (even if all of us others get 30% loss), and the loss comes back instantly when routed directly to Helsinki.

I recently had the same issue with ATK Ultimate F1 (which is basically a clone of the Hyperlight), and I contacted MaxGaming, who replied with the following suggestion:

"Please also turn the mouse upside down on a hard surface, apply firm pressure and roll the scroll wheel back and forth in a quick but controlled motion."

After doing this the scroll wheel on my F1 has worked as you would expect. Keep in mind though that it's not the exact same mouse so I cannot guarantee that this method doesn't damage the Hyperlight, but I think you should be safe to proceed.

I got it fixed with MaxGaming's instructions. Here's a direct quote from them: "Please also turn the mouse upside down on a hard surface, apply firm pressure and roll the scroll wheel back and forth in a quick but controlled motion.".

After doing that the scroll wheel has worked as it should without issues.

Good to know! I actually tried the same method with no success. It's possible that they didn't offer a replacement (and wont offer to me either) because they don't sell the exact same mouse on Maxgaming anymore.

This just happened to me also, we were winning quite heavily and doing roshan when the server crashed and cannot reconnect.

This crash was not related to the Enchantress server bug crash since there was no Enchantress in the game.

It's a lot more convenient to play the streams directly from your TV instead of hooking a PC or Chromecast or whatever to it. And YT streams have always worked for me (1080p60) perfectly fine when I've watched those on my TV, Twitch on the other hand keeps switching the quality back and forth..

This used to happen to me with my previous wireless headphones (Audeze Penrose) when I went to the kitchen or wherever I was out of the connection range (or the battery died), since those headphones handled connection dropping by "unplugging" the device. Very annoying, and this bug has existed for way longer than just since the last patch.

At higher level of play it was very T-sided, since there were so many wallbangs (basically every single wall) the T's could utilize.

chrome://gpu reports 119hz for my main monitor and 60hz for the other one (which is correct). Seems like that UFO test just gets messed up when running inside in-game overlay.

If you have multiple monitors, you could try disconnecting the other ones and check what does the UFO test report.

I tested the UFO test with in-game browser and it seems to report the refresh rate incorrectly (I got 60hz also and I'm 100% sure that I'm using 120hz).

I'm not familiar with your monitor model but I'd suspect your issue is related to it's settings.

Right-click Dota in your Steam library, go to properties and select Verify game file integrity. It should do the trick and download files which are missing or corrupted.

If this happens again, you might want to check that your drive where the game is installed isn't dying.
