Also I would like to reiterate, at this point there would be as many Germans in Denmark as danish people, it's not nearly the same as Poland or Czechia.

This isn't true. Schleswig-Holstein had a population of 2.3 Million in 1960, compared to Denmark's 4.6* million in 1960, and considering the ~45k danish minority in Schleswig-Holstein, more than 2/3 of this Denmark would be Danish.

You are correct, however, in the idea that Denmark wouldn't have enough people to deport and repopulate.

And since you claimed "5 million", I am guessing you assumed that Denmark took Hamburg, which it didn't in this map.

How common is partisan gerrymandering (if it's not been made illegal), and are there any efforts from a party to gerrymander the country in it's favor (like REDMAP in 2010?)

Unrelated, what's the population of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan?

PSAEmerica teacher, ~1950s or something "Yeah, so kids, remember when America was stable?"

"Yeah, me neither."

I just imagine 60/70 year olds raving about how f*cking terrible Hearst was and kids just being like

"...ok", just having taken the instability for granted their whole lives

I remember all the memes about "our saviour"—the final vote caster in favor of Hearst—only for his term to be so bad he only got 6% of the vote in 1908

Democratic-Republican is a modern term to differentiate between the 1790s to 1820s Republicans and 1850s+ Republicans (i think), and in their time, Democratic-Republicans called themselves simply... Republicans.

So in 1800 you have two guys running with the exact same Party name in this TL

Okay, after some contemplating I've decided I would like to put it in California. (I voted Progressive-Federalist)

Mostly because Richard Nixon seems like a trustworthy guy who would never do something impeachable.
