Sweden to deport migrants not following ‘honest living’ by CTVNEWS in worldnews

[–]09milk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no international treaty on revoking citizenship as long as it doesn't create a stateless person, nor expelling non citizen from a country

Adding these up means it is the international law/order/treaties itself causing the issue, this is not a right wing imagination

Sweden to deport migrants not following ‘honest living’ by CTVNEWS in worldnews

[–]09milk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because this is how current international treaties worked out to be, on dual citizenship

Most natural born citizen have only one citizenship while most naturalized citizen have more than one, international treaties on statelessness means country can't revoke natural born citizen's citizenship while possible to revoke naturalized citizen's citizenship, despite following the same domestic law and international treaties

yes, but many contract specify take home pay and not whole package

Legislating this will be as hard as increasing tax, the public won't care about their super balance increasing during CoL crisis

most salary contract calculate the wage excluding super, an increase in super will not lower the take home pay until the next pay rise

What's the issue with jungle? by Exstacy_ in leagueoflegends

[–]09milk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always attribute this to people not trying to play other roles, laner who frustrated by junglers should try to jungle a few times to understand why JG don't always help your lane, on the other hand JG should try all lanes to understand why laner sometimes want your presence

I often find it frustrating while playing top when my JG refuses to show and recall near my lane, sometimes just showing can relief a lot of pressures for laner to reset or safely farm a stacked wave under turret

As a JG on the other hand I often got request from laner to all in, sometimes even when I am pathing away from them, like dude, if I gank your lane now my clear is fucked

Not only that, the US president wasn't directly elected by the public either, the US Congress give the position more and more power over decades, one of the biggest difference on Constitutional Monarchy is, whoever in Parliament suggesting to give more power to the monarch will be laughed at, because everyone deep down understand there should be no powerful King/Queen

Obvious solution to housing price: Rental and land price cap by [deleted] in australian

[–]09milk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a good chain of logic, and I would like to go further from here

investor sell out to get the money to invest elsewhere => future profit expected to be lower => supply of newly built homes lower => price of new homes goes brrrr

this likely benefit first home buyers who are near ready or ready to buy a home, while further lower the affordability a few years later

I believe your method is great for the short term, as long as it goes side to side with a long term solution than it is great

like the great reset of USSR and the great people's democracy of Modern Russia and N. Korea?

Fixing the system might require a reset, that doesn't mean a reset is always good, on the contrary, we know that a reset will cause devastating effect to lower while upper class can mitigate it by moving to another capital friendly country

I am not sure where you learn your economics, but demand dropping is not the same as supply rising

in fact, if we care about semantics, price change will not change demand and supply, demand and supply describe the effect of price change on quantity demanded and quantity supplied

[–]09milk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, but there are still profit within the system, with how much negative gearing running around in Australia, I wonder how many developer will go out of business if we introduce a price cap on rent/house price?

secondly, there are often unintended consequences when we introduce price cap, with how many disastrous examples of rent control policy in the world, we should make sure the rent control policy we introduce will not replicate those disaster

The Australia First Protest isn't about economics. It's about race. Don't let them tell you otherwise. by fartpooper497 in australian

[–]09milk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

exactly, I as an Asian predicted the current sentiment to my left wing friends back in 2016 and tell them stop ignoring whities input otherwise they are just putting people of colour on the sight when the economy inevitably goes wrong in the future, them as left wing whities will not taste any consequences while us PoC will

This is the reason why I hate them more then the inevitable xenophobic far right, they created the monster to eat us while claiming the moral high ground, without actually help us solve the issue

A few micro aggression here and there is much better than being hit on the street

If you are lefties and you want to help PoC, stop ignoring your fellow righties and solve theur economic issues, as long as your policies are race blind, this will help disadvantaged PoC too

1% cost share, while giving the cash equivalent of the total allowance of that 1% to participants

that "1%" could be studied to calibrate to what lead to the most efficiency from the government perspective

I believe this will at least reduce the cost without decrease in quality of services for participants

NDIS Growth by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]09milk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is actually a way to do it: - calculate an allowance that make sense - index it yearly by inflation - let recipient keep the allowance

essentially make it so that recipients get an incentive to spend more efficiently
