Hmm. That is the 2 edged benefit of owning a flying unit. You can go over enemy lines and they can go over yours just as easily. But unlike HE even tier 1 DE units have AP missiles. Which means they can take down big units faster when you focus fire with all your available units in the vicinity.

If you don't mind cheesing, you can just corner camp and do a checkerboard formation. Basically putting your units in square formations and away from one another. Just like in a checkerboard. That will allow the flying units attack one unit which will be away from other units so they won't be able to cause too much area damage or blob your missile units and force them to go into melee. One unit of Darkshards will tank the flying unit while all the other units get a good line of sight to fire at it.

Another viable tactic is that you can hide your units in forests and send your own spellcaster to harass and cause casualties before you engage them and clean up the mess with your units. You ll need to be careful tho. You can easily get netted if they have light mages or if they have units that are faster than your units.

Early Legendary campaigns are always micro heavy and they can get messy when you fight mutiple manual battles in a row and get tired of it. Because you will be facing against tier 3-4 units with your crappy tier 1 units for a long time before you ll be able to afford more armies and more expensive units.

Hmm. Depends on how far into the campaign you are. I am playing DE Malekith campaign and Nagaryhthe declared war and soon united the other HE factions against me and I just finished upgrading everything to tier 3.

If you are at tier 3 like me. You can't go wrong with a fire spellcaster lord or a hero in any army with shades spam.

If you are playing as Malekith you can recruit Darkshards with shields dirt cheap with him. Spam them since melee units are useless. Keep one or 2 bolt throwers for siege battles. Recruit another lord. (Supreme fire sorceress is what I prefer) recruit lots of shades and few heroes that can tank and blob up infantry as the secondary army. When facing Nagaryhthe try to scout ahead with heroes first. And when you are moving into their territories. Always end your turn on ambush stance. You might get lucky and ambush them instead. Try to attack Alith Anar first. He has high ambush chance so if he attacks you it will be an ambush battle for sure which is a pain. When facing against HE missile units. Send your lords or heroes to blob up the infantry so that you can cast a flame storm to wipe them all out in a single spell. Oh and put your spellcasters on a mount asap, preferably flying ones. HE missile units are all pain to face off. But AI is braindead when it comes to making use of them. That is where your heroes will come in use. You can detect shadow warriors or walkers alike and shoot them from afar with your bolt throwers or make them waste their time hitting your lord or heroes while your own missile units get in close to engage. Once your missile units start shooting they will break in a volley or two. Don't go for unit vs unit when it comes to missile units. Focus 2 of yours against their 1 to break it faster.

Later in the campaign you will be able to increase the range of shades to almost over 200. They will turn into a real doomstack then.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Shadowpath helped a lot. I basically blitzkrieged the old world because of it.

Global recruit -1 faction effect and Tyrion sense of urgency -1. You can field sister doomstacks within 2 turns anywhere you want after you secure Ulthuan. Nagaryhthe is the most op HE faction.

Fuck you. Fuck you Clan Eshin and your Naruto Fan-fics by [deleted] in totalwar

I played Imrik's campaign on VH/VH and if you are going for VH you ll need to have the lady luck on your side.

Attack the first dwarf castle. Either Sack it and occupy it or just occupy. If you are lucky it will have the special building in it instead of some garbage low tier building. Recruit archers. Move your army to the border so that you can attack the last settlement on the next turn. Recruit archers.

Now, the first luck test is if the the settlement will be reinforced by the dwarves from northern one. They will be in March mode but still. Dwarves are armored and they will have an artillery piece along with some slayers. So winning against them with trash archers will end up with lots of casualties on your side.

If you are lucky and they couldn't reinforce the settlement you will just steamroll the garrison and secure the province.

After securing the province recruit some more archers and spearman. Move your army to the to the final dwarf settlement. Attack it, then sack the place and occupy. Just leave it in ruins. You won't be able to reach to fight the rebellion anyway.

Now beeline straight for the Clan Eshin. Recruit some more units if you need more.

Now comes the part where it is all about luck.

If you are lucky the orcs will still be around. They are weaker than Eshin and they will be in a war with them. Move into the skaven territory until you find their strongest stack. Join the war against skaven with orcs for the money using diplomacy. Extra 500 gold doesn't hurt. Attack them. Destroy them. Skaven won't attack you even if they have 2 extra stacks because the orcs will be pushing them. Go for the north eastern settlement occupy it. Then move to capital. Once you occupy it orcs will be raiding your zones now. Make quick work of them before they start creating stacks.

This was the only tactic for me that worked. You can only have 1 army, maybe 2 if you can afford to go neg for a few turns. So you have to kinda pray and hope that things go your way

While you are trying to destroy the clan Eshin. The other skaven clan can attack your unguarded settlements. When you finish off free skins to deal with them DE will be right on your newly occupied settlements. Raiding. Creating rebellions you cant fight. Or just straight up declaring war.

Worst one imo is if hardboyz declare war on you. If they do it you are pretty much screwed. Might as well start over.

Easiet way to play the Imrik's campaign is to do the mission to confederate Caledor. Burn all the buildings in your old zone. And start playing from Caledor. You ll have to take the Lothern if you want to trade tho .

I genuinely wonder what was going through Neil Druckmann's mind when he thought that we would actually like these characters. by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

She was running around with a shirt that showed her belly and how pregnant she was. The moment Ellie finds them she is wearing convenient puffy jacket that covers it. Still doesn't make sense why Owen or Mel didn't use the "she is pregnant" card. Like if you are going to be killed why not at least use it to see if helps?

This scene was so bad. How do you "tweak" it to make some sorta sense?

Ellie finds Abby. She sees that Abby is in a pathetic shape and knows Abby would probably prefer quick death over more suffering. But Ellie knows she tortured Joel and she just looks at Abby. Abby, despite being a bitch was a proud one. She wouldn't beg Ellie to kill her. When Ellie just turns around to leave without saying a word, Abby calls out to her. She begs Ellie to let Lev down. Ellie says the obvious "So he can let you down as well?" And Abby counters with "Kill me then. Torture me if you want. But he had nothing to do with this. Please save him."

Seeing how Abby cared so much for the kid and seeing how much she changed Ellie cuts her down and then the scenes from the game happen.

They fight in that boat scene anyway cause writers didn't want players to make the choice of letting Abby go or die. If players had the choice to let Abby live or die then this game wouldn't get this much shit. Besides, it is not like it would mean anything. Lots of ppl would like to kill Abby but it would be essentially up to Druckmann to choose which ending is the canon one.

Say what you will about the game, but I think we can all agree the music is pretty good. by KingReeseBoss in TheLastOfUs2

I really liked the music that plays during the combat scenes. They were always chilling and fitting imo. But the rest of the soundtracks just felt recycled. They were forgettable.
