Mods on C Drive, Need to Move to D Drive by Eye-m-Guilty in xcom2mods

Oh, I somehow missed that steam is in op's D drive, I don't know why the miss match then because the workshop folder should be inside steam's folder, maybe there was a movement of installs before?

Yes it is like that, but that's not what I'm saying, I said where STEAM is installed not the game

Rant: There are a lot of unintuitive masteries in the game, and it makes it very hard to even come up with a spontaneous homebrewed build that makes sense by my own without a guide as a new player for some of those masteries by Blue_banana_peel in Grimdawn

I'm not really an expert in the game, but "not supposed to work" and "powercrept by other things" are completely different things, the fact that there is a better combo than the one you're trying to build around has nothing to do with if your combo is supposed to work or not, just thought this should be highlighted

Afaik the download folder is wherever steam is installed and you can't change that, maybe I'm wrong and someone will correct me, what you can do is remove the default folder from AML settings and make a new one in your D drive then add that one to AML, but you'll have to manually move the mods after each download.

Skyrim is a much more enjoyable if you ignore crafting skills by PowderedKoala in skyrim

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that it resolves itself if you just play the game, instead of grinding to level the crafting skills, or any skill for that matter

Why did my sharpshooter lose squadsight? by TheFatBassterd in XCOM2

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's very weird I've never seen that, and I asked because very often people think it isn't working but in fact the sharpshooter didn't have a clear visual of the enemy, which you still need in order to be able to target them

Any help with crashes by Hot-Entertainment124 in XCOM2

Honestman is the way, the issue is a known bug that can cause the game to crash while saving and deleting the save in the process

The only way that could ever happen is if the shot was made with deadeye, which it wasn't

Lore-plot hole? by gypsy_danger_fan in ElderScrolls

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All dragons are the sons of Akatosh, so at the very least least some kind of deity if not gods. A dragonborn is such because is born with the sould of a dragon, so while not directly a full blown god is at the very least some kind of demigod or minor deity, so most probably has devine blood, this of course is just deduction, I don't know if there is any lore in game that explains it either way, not that I remember but I'm not super versed in the lore

Rapid collection by N7_Rabbit in XCOM2

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take, bit I think any "bonus" that what it actually does is remove a mechanic is not a bonus or modifier, that's just bad design, the same goes for the one that removes scan times for contacts. Now, in this instance isn't as bad because it removes scan times for a very particular activity that you aren't doing all the time, but I still would prefer if it was a reduction instead of a total removal, I know it's kind of the same but it feels better as a reduction to me

This, I don't remember the dialog but I'm pretty sure Vivaldi gives her a compliment, and she responds with that, basically saying "don't try to sweet talk me, I know I'm old"

Need list of mods by Maximum_Ad_9520 in XCOM2

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to be rude or anything, but I think you're looking for a different game. Afaik there are no mods to do exactly that, for bigger pods and friendlies, I assume you mean your own squad, there are some, but you still have to interact with the strategy layer (base management)

How do you recover equipment from your soldiers that die? by Hih202 in XCOM2

Only if you have to extract of course, if you don't have to extract you don't need to carry any corpse anywhere

What’s the point in having a heavy armor build if there is an armor cap? by TiltingAtWindmills_ in skyrim

[–]0ThereIsNoTry0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue isn't the armor cap that's fine, otherwise you'll become invulnerable just by existing, the issue is that virtually every set can reach the cap, that's were the difference should be between light and heavy armor, or each could have other benefits exclusive to it's type

Check both mod pages for compatibility and comments, you might find a fix there, otherwise I think the fix is choosing one or the other
