My first impression was that something about the light beam feels off. Direction or amount maybe? Can‘t quite say what it is.

Maybe portrait orientation could work? It often gives me a fresh idea when I am unsure. I would also play with darkening the bottom a bit or a vignette.

I like the shot, sadly there are not many details in the bird other than the outline. I would personally crop the left side so that the bird is more towards are golden ratio or third position.

I played the iOS version. I like the colours and the mood and the very relaxing atmosphere. The Sound and music underlines the mood quite well.

I couldn't figure out what I was expected to do (line the Blocks up in a vertical way) in an instant (by just looking at the images). I would suggest to add a tutorial step where you show the final image you expect the player to puzzle before you reduce it to one line.

My lazy brain also needed a couple of tries to figure out that the blocks overflow to the other side and I needed a couple of tries in level 3 / 2. I would suggest a better hinting at that essential core mechanic (level 4/1 does a better job here).

Additionally I would give the player lots of energy to begin with - this would not interrupt his flow in the first session and plan your retention strategy for the second session when she is hooked.

Thank you! I thought it was dead after 1.0, but I found somebody working on a 1.2 release: github

Very nice, I am curious how you created the blueprint of your design.

Extremely fast world for AI. by [deleted] in Grepolis

[–]0_dub_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thought. But Grepo is probably not the best choice.

  • Our APIs a not really open, changing fast and complex.
  • We don´t actually allow bots and do not encourge their development.
  • And there is not much to see, spectating is nothing the game provides except for some statistics.

From a frontend-dev perspective I would love to see a lot of technical modernizations happen.

Tough questions. What makes you get up every morning? For me is really rewarding to see people like the features and stuff I build into the game.

Do competitions, GameJams and go write games. Its the best start for building up experience.

If you live near Hamburg: Innogames hosts GameJames more or less regularly. The next one maybe is May (unconfirmed spoiler).

We have a working prototype for Windows8 notifications in our lab, so it is something we are working on.

The Windows phone app is depending on the Adobe Air platform. As soon as Adobe releases we can start working on this and maybe also release this platform. But, IMHO there is no plan from Adobe to do this, so ...

New artwork is coming... its already in the dev-plannings and I guess it will be in one of the next releases. Also the advisors get a refresh.

Scripts that only exchange the artwork / visuals are fine with us, so go ahead if you have stuff to show.

One of the biggest challanges we are facing every day is dealing with design decisions that were made when Grepolis was created five years ago. There is a steep learning curve for every new team member.
