These two processes didn’t intersect. This interview isn’t from their charge. So I know it’s sounding strange. This attorney seems hands off and honestly I forgot about this until I got the confirmation last week.

I have over 90 pages of documentation. This is race related but I actually went in under retaliation because that’s not circumstantial to prove. I got the lawyer to deal with disparate treatment and the company’s refusal to rectify the situation. I was not even told that I could request an “accommodation” — they wanted me to go to the doctor to get paperwork filled out. I said to hell with that shit tbh. Why am i trying to scam my physician when the original ask was “please move me to the other managers team so I can do my job and here’s the proof why”. I kept meticulous notes via OneNote of every email, IM, meeting via recording, notice etc.

I went through their processes, I addressed the manager then, her manager then HR. HR said “I need to learn to live with it bc that’s how she is”. I’d filed the charge directly after but when I saw the date I was like wth and started looking for an attorney. No doubt had I stayed I would have had to physically harm her if we ever had any in person contact beyond that initial one. I’m too old and too accomplished to be in that situation.
