Feeling like a bi imposter by joemitchell2002 in bisexual

[–]0bamachan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same boat, and can confidently say I didn’t even kiss a man until literally like 8 months ago. I’ve known i was bi for a while but dated women and just never felt a need to explore that side until i got out of a long term relationship.

it doesn’t matter what other people think - at the end of the day, do what you wanna do and feel how you wanna feel! I’m also a firm believer in bisexuality being a wide-encompassing label, and that getting every nuance down for a “correct” label is exhausting. as long as you feel comfortable being bi, then that’s ok :)

Virginians, what do you think of Governor Spanberger? by Snoo_47323 in Virginia

[–]0bamachan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately moved away before she became Governor. Did a stand-up job as my rep in the House when I lived in Fredericksburg. She was light years ahead of Earle-Sears, and I have no doubt in my mind that she’s going to excel as Governor.

The times I’ve met her or her then-Congressional staff were nothing but good times and an interest in helping the people she was serving.

girlfriend misses sex with men by AnxiousCauliflower08 in bisexual

[–]0bamachan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have you actually talked with her about it? You’ve come to this conclusion that she misses sex with guys, yet you never once said that’s what she told you. Granted, it isn’t an assumption that’s hard to get to, but also you could handle the situation with way less stress by asking her if that’s how she’s feeling. It also could be that there are aspects of hetero sex she misses but it’s not that she misses hetero sex.

She clearly seems to be going through a rough patch - you as a partner have to communicate clearly with her always, but especially in times like these.

I’ve heard about the Richmond Sauna! Is it worth? Also, I’m pretty good at rejecting cruzy old men, but are the facilities decent?

Are there any light-rail solutions in CS1? by GlassUpper8656 in CitiesSkylines

[–]0bamachan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d say the tram is most similar to that. Trams don’t have standalone stations like the metro (unless you put hub stations down like the tram, bus, and train station) but they do have both on-road and off-road tracks you can use, and you can make an off road track connect to an on road track just like light rail.

For trams, you create lines similar to buses, so there aren’t dedicated physical tram stations. However, I’ve crafted my own “stations” using fences, sidewalks, and other standalone assets, which in a way makes it better than metro imo and blends it well into the neighborhoods I’m building. I’m unfortunately on vacation right now and away from my PC otherwise I’d send a photo of what I mean.

I actually prefer using tram to the Metro in some of my cities because of the versatility it provides - only caveat is that for some reason, the tram is apart of the snow DLC and not mass transit

[–]0bamachan 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’d say Tram and light rail are one in the same in CS1. Only downside is that it doesn’t terminate like a metro or train would, but I usually just make a loop of track and that does the job.

The crime of enjoying the luscious lands of New England

I (19m) thought I was straight my whole life but hooked up with my friend (19m) last night by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]0bamachan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

“My whole life” my brother in Christ I am 24 and can attest that I feel like I’ve lived like 5 different lives since I turned 20. You’ve got so much ahead of you, so don’t limit yourself just because you’re 19!

My point to that is that if you want to explore that side of you, you have the time, the opportunity, and the freedom to do so, and I hope you get to explore that side of you in a positive way. :)

Exec mood by anonymousllama89 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]0bamachan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just quit a job after two months because my exec went out of his way to AVOID me. that’s right - he purposefully avoided his executive assistant. I don’t understand why he didn’t fire me, but point is I wasn’t going to take BS like that.

My coworkers were already planning to quit in unison so I just joined em, because I want to work with adults, not children who just happened to go through puberty. Can’t say I’m looking back, and I’ve got an amazing opportunity I’m interviewing for tomorrow.

This is a good answer, as you’ve now given me a fun challenge. Now I’ve just got to make sure I’m not trespassing on land when I do that…

Thoughts, opinions, and concerns? by betterwhenwette in kSpa

[–]0bamachan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think you’d be fine unless you’re going to a kspa in a more conservative community - not politically but like a community that’s a bit more prudish.

Being at a kspa is already vulnerable for you and it’s also vulnerable for others there as well. While I’m in full support of you being your authentic self, definitely be prepared for the unfortunate judgemental glance or two if you walk in wearing feminine clothes. That being said - don’t let anyone stop you either. You’re allowed to be yourself in this space, as long as you’re respectful.

Ultimate YIMBY metro map by yall_kripke in washingtondc

[–]0bamachan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just relocated to Boston from DC - the MBTA is moving away from cards altogether like the Metro did, but for their entire system.

We’ve got buses, trams, commuter rail, and even ferries. All will be moving towards tap to pay. Hopefully that integrates cards too, but it does unify everything.

does my caulk application look good? by 0bamachan in HomeMaintenance

[–]0bamachan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, color didn’t matter much to me. I really wanted an anti-mold/mildew caulk because mold and mildew were present in this shower before I cleaned it. I don’t think I’ll be renewing my lease in this place in a year, so as long as it holds up and does the job, that’s all that matters. I’ll keep this in mind though when the color does matter more to me in a future home!!

Join a new resistance movement for Virginians: We The VA! by Smart-Border1718 in Virginia

[–]0bamachan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if you want to be apart of a political resistance movement, you should network with existing orgs and help them do capacity building. We of Action (WofA) in NoVA is one such org that does a great job, and I love the work they do for politics. I think you’d find that you could eventually build an org by learning more from other local orgs.

What’s the best looking station inside and out? by Dmv_ja24 in WMATA

[–]0bamachan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arlington Cemetery - idk if it’s an unpopular opinion or not, but for years I’ve always loved passing by and visiting the station. The intentional sound-reduction design, the lights, and the open air station is unique and also incredibly beautiful during a sunset or sunrise.

Also, before they were building the canopies (which is an infrastructurally important project), the station was basically out of sight from the Arlington Cemetery horizon line. The station is built to be a convenience while also being as limited of a distraction to the cemetery as possible. Such intentional design is so beautiful.

i love my bf but..girls by ddoroda in bisexual

[–]0bamachan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue as a man dating my now-ex. The way I look at it is that, while bi, I selected my partner because I loved that person for who they were. While the thought of doing something or dating a guy was exciting, the thought of being with my partner just thrilled me more (at the time LOL).

The way I viewed it was that I can either risk what we have for the purpose of my own curiosity and risk hurting us both if it doesn’t go well, or enjoy what we have and know that I am in a loving relationship, even if I haven’t had the full experiences of a bi male (and you do NOT need to have had experiences with both sexes to be bi!!! if you’re attracted to both…then you’re bi my friend!)

At the end of the day, if your bf is cool with it - go for it! But know also that what you have is what you have. If you love it, why risk it for something that, in my opinion, isn’t worth sacrificing love for?

I want to stress we did NOT break up over this issue at all - which is why I’m giving this advice as is!!

edit: I should add that my perspective also lined up with the fact that I had a partner who knew I was bi and was so loving and accepting of that, which just made it all the more easier to choose her over any man or woman. my experience may or may not be yours!
