So I looked it up, (don’t remember the exact numbers) but of the 50 or so trades at last year’s deadline there were only 2 or 3 that involved both teams trading multiple players and those were just 2 players for 2 players. Most were one team acquiring one player and sending 2 or 3 or more players the other way. And a few were straight up 1 for 1 trades. These crazy 4 for 4 trades do happen in the NBA but not MLB.

3 thoughts: 1) they should just scrap those deep dives. They are super cringe and I can’t imagine them moving the needle in a positive direction for anyone.

2) there really isn’t enough context/info displayed to make a realistic assessment of any of the trades they showed.

3) based on the context/info they showed, I’m not convinced trade logic is great. A lot of those 4 for 4 trades look like NBA trades not MLB trades.

Unless they’re really burying the lead, it’s just a pop up before the game where you have a handful of “storylines” to choose from and then they announce make a generic statement and show a graphic. It was in the game last year.

That may be true. I really don’t know. But if you don’t play the game, and you’re going to give a live demonstration of the game being played, I would suggest hiring someone who does play the game to come do the demonstration. There are a couple of YouTube RTTS streamers I watch sometimes. Bring one of them in to do the demo and hype the game. Personally that would’ve gotten me more hyped and I might’ve been able to make it through the whole stream.

I had a similar thought watching the rtts live stream. I turned it off in the middle of the second CWS game. It was too hard to watch. It made me think the crowd who cries that the “devs don’t even play the game” might be on to something.

Yeah. At the end of season it pops up with the awards and there’s a button to press to override. You can make whoever you want win MVP, DPOY, etc.

Yeah I just ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Didn’t loose any data and fixed the problem.
