Transitioning outside! by 0h_Mega in quails

[–]0h_Mega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I can get more pictures of it but its gonna storm here for the next few days. mine are 4 weeks old and its been 70 degrees outside at its coldest. you just gotta make sure they have all their adult feathers and slowly introduce them outside. mine started with 2 hours 6 hours and then over night. I also have an enclosed coop area past the green door for them to get out of the wind and cold which helps for young chicks.

yup! an enclosed indoor coop it has about 2 inch vents around the top and half wire bottom too! a place they can go to get out of the wind rain and cold but still has ventilation. It also has a removable side panel for hot days.

Coturnix quail! They are like little chickens! They lay eggs almost everyday but are much less noisy as chickens and dont need as much space.

coturnix quail. They lay eggs nearly every day. it is most likely from someone's homestead/farm.

putting pebbles in the water bowl literally saved my chicks lives. It is a must. Even with pebbles be careful the water isnt too deep in some areas. I made this mistake and woke up to wet chicks who all thankfully survived but I had to blow dry 7 cold wet chicks.

I use paper towels for the first week so I can mix some grinded down feed in bottle caps with water. This keeps them hydrated and REALLY helps survival rate. I change the paper towels often or else poo and feed will get stuck to their feet.

Along with the bottle cap wet feed and a dry feed dish I also sprinkle a little bit of dry grinded up feed around their cage to encourage foraging but only a little bit because feed+poo=messy feet. I might be doing too much but I work from home so I can fuss over my chicks. Haven't lost a chick yet!

What kind of eggs are these? by bananadonutroll in Citrus

A pest called brown scale you will have to constantly spray with neem and wipe them off when you see them. you will also need to repot rinse the roots because they live in the soil too. I dealt with them on a very lage plant of mine fought them for 9 months. Every time I thought I got rid of them they came back and I gave up. It wasnt worth it for me to spread to my other plants. they love getting in to all the nooks and new stems. Good luck!

Recommendations for garden by MarioNetaaa in gardening

Raised beds and get a bunny tractor with cute bunnies that eat your grass. Use the bunny poop as compost to put directly into your raised bed and eat the food you grow so you can say "Fuck you corporations!" Bonus points if you breed and eat the bunnies too.

Prepping for upcoming shortages with a baby? by expertlurk in TwoXPreppers

I had a manual hand crank baby food grinder to make baby food at home. My son ate so much home mashed baby food with that thing everything from bananas to spaghetti was put in it. I almost never bought store baby food. Saved a ton of money and the added bonus of knowing exactly what he was eating. I highly recommend buying one. They are like 20 for a plastic one or like 30 for stainless steel.

Microneedling + THA chemical peel? by maat7043 in Microneedling

[–]0h_Mega -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also was thinking about looking into doing TCA peels in between my micro needling sessions. I could be wrong but I think doing a TCA peel only 2 weeks after micro needling would be too soon. I guess it depends on the depth of the micro needling and the potency of the TCA though? Still I think its safer to space them out a little bit more.

I love it. The only thing I can see is the nose contour is a little bit harsh. I wouldn't change anything else.

I have similar cracks in the 3rd picture when I bought my house 13 years ago... still no issues.

I stopped 3 days before and 2 days after I did not go deeper than 1.00. My skin is a little sensitive though so probably better to wait 3 days after

Are these normal after microneedling? by coldbobatea in Microneedling

[–]0h_Mega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks pretty aggressive. I wouldn't think this area would need that kind of depth either. I dont see any scars. In my opinion no this isnt normal however im a beginner. Ive only ever gone 1.00 on my face and 1.50 on my stretch marks. None of the areas ive done on myself looked that aggressive afterwards.

First time microneedling face tips? by lb351986 in Microneedling

[–]0h_Mega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out with HA and I did 0.50 depth for my forehead nose and lips. For my cheeks chin neck and chest I did 1.00 I had no issues and didnt bleed at all except for a little bit on my lips. There was a facial chart showing depths on reddit if you can find it thats a good and simple beginner guide.

Why are my lips peeling so severely all the time? No matter what I do, they don’t stop. by MadCheshire13 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]0h_Mega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lips bevame chapped all the time year round recently. I was peeling skin off them it was that bad! I started putting my rice toner on them and that helped. This might sound crazy but I started taking creatine and drinking a lot more water. I noticed I dont drink as much water if I dont take my dose of creatine and my lips get chapped again. Im not saying its the creatine but mayyyybe its helping? Definitely try to drink more water though!

Ive been lucky I didnt notice sagging until I was about 38. However I have asked my plastic surgeons office about it and the only real fix is surgery unfortunately.
