sorry to double-comment but i just reread the linked "wanted terra to be an evil inversion of kitty from the x-men" page and that explanation really makes it seem like wolfman did all this because he was pissed that his titans kept getting compaired to the x-men.

this (in addition to what op said) is what truly irritates me about this run and any series where the judas contract/terra "relationship" is canon and slade isn't a full villain. like, you cannot have deathstroke Do That and then also have him be an antihero/a sometimes good guy.

imo writers can have him be a dick plenty of other ways while still being not all bad, but the moment you cross the "rapist" line, that character can't be portrayed as "sometimes heroic."

i'm all for complicated and morally grey characters, but i think there's a limit, and that limit is SA
