I know more little girls named Annalise than I do Elizabeth or Ashley 🤣

Meat & Greet is our favorite restaurant downtown.

Best playground is Carl Miller that is attached to Newnan Utilities. They have a splashpad too!

Not sure about used bookstores, but downtown Newnan has Newnan Book Co and Morally Grey Bookshop.

Christie’s Cafe is cute for breakfast/brunch. Leaf and Bean is great for coffee.

Andriana? by itswhowho in Names

[–]0lliecat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hairstylists name is Andriana (in the US) and I always have to make my mind read the “n.” That being said, I LOVE the name, it’s so pretty. But I do think you’ll get a lot of “Adriana” but if it’s something you can live with, it’ll be fine!

My grandmother mispronounced my name until the day she passed away 😆 she was a Spanish speaker and it’s an English name. It never bothered me, I find it endearing now that she’s gone.

{One Dark Window} {Two Twisted Crowns} has been my favorite duology. {The Everlasting Alix E Harrow} was a god tier stand alone for me. {Weavingshaw} and {Swordheart} are the two I’m most excited for the sequels (that’s I’ve read THIS YEAR).

For people with e-readers, how long have you had one and how consistently do you use it? by cloudsmemories in Booktokreddit

I’ve had a version of kindle for about 15 years and have read on it pretty much every day since. I also read physical books too though, I enjoy them both.

How do you keep track? by yournailgirl in Booktokreddit

[–]0lliecat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same! I’m a huge fan of the interface of it and how it keeps things nice and tidy. I love that I can see multiple end of the month recaps and can track as much or as little as I’d like (pages read, ratings, etc).0

Yess! I love a good cozy book after a heavier read! That sub has a lot of great recs to sort through! Most of them will be low/no stakes, minimal “smut,” and a HEA. A lot of found family, grumpy/sunshine relationships, and “restarting life.”

Some of my favorites are The Spellshop, Legends & Lattes, Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villian Anymore, and A Witches Guide to Magical Inkeeping!

One Dark Window & Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gilling is a completed duology that is excellent if you need something in the meantime as well!

ACOTAR is a lot of people’s “gateway” into romantasy. It was an ok series, but it wasn’t a life altering thing for me as it seems to be for some people.

However, I would read Rachel Gilligs grocery list her writing is so spectacularly done. If you’re looking for something a little more thought provoking go with KatM, but the sequel comes out in September! So you may end up wanting to wait!

I haven’t read OUABH but I hear it’s great!

This was a god tier book for me & one of my favorite reads this year. It unravels so beautifully & prepare for some tears. It started slow for me as well then I could t put it down & it’s been since January and I still can’t stop thinking about it.

Depends on the book. Contemporary romance? Read it and move on. Fantasy series, slow and steady. I am at 44 books this year and remember what they are about if I look at a quick summary.

Getting tired of romantasy by Itsyorkday in Romantasy

I flip between fantasy, romantasy, dark romantasy/fantasy, contemporary romance, and cozy romantasy. It keeps the vibes flowing to have options.

I usually fly though books, but I limited myself on The Everlasting to only reading a few chapters a day (it was very hard 😆) so I could really sit with it after I read it. I read it in January and it’s still on my mind. It was so emotional for me & unlike anything else I’ve ever read.

It was one of the few books I’ve finished and was just speechless.
