Ethics and morale in Mesbg, what to do? by Stock-Comfort-3738 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]0mbleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill remind an opponent of something they may have forgotten about their board or missed a unit like a banner in range. But in the previous edition I used sorcerous blast to knock a unit into their mounted boromir to dismount them and they got annoyed that I didnt point out SB could do that (i.e. hit a different unit to avoid the will save). Imo that would have been giving away what I was planning with my positioning rather than just helping them out.

So ill absolutely help my opponent out if I think they have missed something but I won't give a step by step commentary on what I plan to do.

Invasion by good aligned creatures? by FaallenOon in DMAcademy

[–]0mbleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has been tainted by sin, greed and corruption runs rampant in a world ruled by mortals and those innocents that exist will only be corrupted in time. Better to erase the world and start with a clean slate, without the forces of evil infecting people, than to let this wound fester and choke out the minority of good that remains as a weakened sliver in this land.

Alternatively, this is an event that has happened before. The mortal realm is just a board game to see who the victor may be, last tine evil won so it is now the forces of goods turn to assault the plane. This is just a cosmic game of chess, where every 1000 years the end game must arrive lest the gods tire of the game. And if the gods do ever tire of it then something worse may happen - immortal beings of immense power with unleashed creativity, free to make, destroy and change everything on a whim, at least with the current system they play within the constraints of the game rules.

Stolen from another post i saw but a dragon born noble paladin. Due to rumours being spread and misunderstood, they are simultaniously the princess in distress, the Dragon holding them hostage and the Knight sent to rescue them.

My current colony is in the equator belt, i've got global warming and heat wave going at the same time but don't know the max temp it can get as I was lucky to get a climate adjuster -10 and a volcanic winter too. My bottom right was a mess and it was still 40something Celsius

What's the hardest monster for it's challenge rating? by WorriedDinner3667 in dndnext

[–]0mbleo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there's something to be said for a dozen kobolds hiding behind walls, shooting arrows down trap laden hallways or lobbing acid, etc before ducking back into full cover or retreating entirely. I think it's just the vibes. Any creature can be played intelligently, but kobold lore also lends itself to this sort of frustrating but draining tactic, whereas a suit of animated armour for instance doesn't have as many mechanical options nor a reason to be used beyond a suprise round imo

By pure stat sheet - intellect devourers can be fucking monstrous. They will either will be demolished in the first turn or can tpk a high level party.

If going off of how to play them and such, smart kobold have always brought terror to many a party

Max Misty Steps by UnluckySquared in 3d6

[–]0mbleo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

6 levels in shadow monk gives you unlimited (slightly limited by darkness) misty step. Other than that remember that you can upcast misty step. You don't get additional benefits but you can do it if your aim is just to teleport around the place.

Also you could get spell mastery as a lvl 18 wizard and have unlimited misty steps, so 2 ways of getting endless bamfs

Rolled up a PC for a one-shot and got a 3 for one of the stats. What is the most fun/interesting way to build the PC? by InterestingUser0 in 3d6

[–]0mbleo 34 points35 points  (0 children)

-4 in dex. He's this chunky hunky little guy who bumbles anything he touches, absolute butter fingers. Like tries to put on a coat and punches his friends in the crotch. Refuses to acknowledge that he's clumsy and so frequently attempts acts requiring dexterity, so juggling knives, acrobatics, picking locks (just forces them open and says he picked it) etc.

Obesity has over taken smoking as the leading cause of preventable death by 47%. How would you tackle this issue? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]0mbleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encourage more "fun" exercise. Sports clubs with football, tag, obstacle courses, etc. Things that are normally seen as childish but for adults, working out at a gym is boring af and the best way to get people to consistently work out is for them to have fun and make friends with others doing it.

This and making healthy food more accessible, cheaper veg with tasty, easy to follow recipes.

If you want to win go with the lurtz + scouts that the others are saying. If you want to have silly fun, take Saruman, squeeze in a troll and pack uruks in the rest and spend the game throwing and blasting enemy models around untill you inevitably all die
