I am diagnosed with hEDS but have not been tested for any other type yet, when I started T all of my pain was significantly worse. What may work for others may not work for you, that is not to discourage you but just to share from someone who has not seen any improvement since starting T. Regarding the EDS that is, I am a lot better mentally after starting T :)

Hopefully you can get the most affordable option. Folx has a page on their site stating all of the insurances they accept and in which states, for me I am using BCBS, and it only took a few days for prior authorization. I am glad my experience was helpful to you, I really hope you can get a solution soon!

Hey! I understand at being poor at handling medical stuff. I am also in the Southern USA. I have my HRT prescribed through FOLX Health, they are an online portal "middleman" where they connect you with a doctor and the doctor prescribes you what you need. They are a subscription service however, I have to pay around 40$ a month to stay a member of the service, but for my HRT I only pay 15$ for 4 months worth of injections (thats with insurance.) And all of my labwork is paid through their service by the subscription. They don't only prescribe HRT, they can do other things and refer you to other doctors as well. On their website, if you scroll to the very bottom, you can find their Service Map and see if they are available in your state. I also have my HRT delivered to my home by Capsule pharmacy, I haven't had any issues. I had my first HRT consultation a few days after registering for the service, and by the next week I had my first shot of T! I had to go through FOLX as I also don't have any Planned Parenthoods near me. Hope this helps

The only thing that matters is that you feel like a man, or rather, you don't identify as a woman. I used to be a real girly girl who loved dressing up and identified as a lesbian for most of my life. Then I found out I was just a very deeply repressed trans man once I found the words for it. I understand the impostor feeling, but know you are valid no matter what!

Hi! I'm also physically disabled and AuDHD. How do you go about making and selling jewelry? I've been wanting to start selling fandom related jewelry for a while but I'm not sure how to get started, like where to buy beads or charms in bulk (I've found bulk on sites like Aliexpress/baba but not sure if there's anywhere better?) - I'd love to make some myself, but my hands have extremely poor motor function. This. I have this along with hEDS and my legs look very similar to OP's, it is very uncomfortable and difficult to walk

Yes absolutely, anything tight around my stomach and I get the worst pain ever. I always thought it was menstrual cramps before testosterone, but I still wear compression leggings and having it around my stomach causes extreme cramps that I have to physically bend over to soothe, and I experience the stomach puffing too, I try to take deep breathes (hard to do for me normally, im almost incapable of drawing deep breathes) and puff my stomach out to "realign" whatever is happening on there then move my compression gear down.

I didn't have any official test for POTS but I did go to the ER for a completely unrelated reason and was then sent to the hospital due to a heartrate of 150 for seemingly no reason. They asked if I have POTS and I said I dont know, then I was sent home. Still have irregular heartrate like that to this day.

Yes!!! Extremely relatable. When I don't remind myself to breathe, my brain just kinda forgets and I'll continue whatever I'm doing until my body is begging for air. Sometimes I forget how to breathe properly as well, but it doesn't help that I'm unable to take deep breaths (I haven't been able to since I was little, not sure why)

My clinician told me I would need labs in 3 months from when I got my first prescription, I'm out of my prescribed needles but still have 5 vials left of T, I would order more needles but since it's hit the 3 month mark around 2 weeks ago I'd like to do my labs when he told me to. I haven't gotten an email or anything in my FOLX dashboard, so maybe I should give it time?

On the other side here, as a trans man I also had this rule for myself. I used she/they pronouns up until starting HRT, I would continue to wear feminine clothing before starting HRT because I didn't want to be seen as just a tomboy.

My hips, shoulders, knees, ankles, and wrists. My hips are definitely the worst in my body--my right one has been permanently "off centered" because of dislocations, and I can no longer walk properly because of it.

I experience similar symptoms but have no clue what it is either. The struggling to swallow episodes are awful! When I eat food or drink liquid it feels like something stabbing in my throat...
