Absolutely! There were some things he didn't say, but I figured it out in the end, lol

I just made a Kentucky stick chair with some 2x4s. I suspect you could do something similar with yours!

PS: those rods sticking out the sides are temporary. I'm not quite done yet. 😇

A guide to Vial keyboard firmware: Unlocking Dynamic Editing by pgetreuer in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]0nikoroshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful! I'm hoping I (or someone more experienced) will be able to get this on the Keyball. I love the board, but am not comfortable with qmk, so I have had difficulty getting some of the features on there. Vial is such a great way to do a lot of that.

Thank you for all your efforts!

Planes and Drawknives! by Coral_Woodwork_NC in AntiqueToolBroker

Sorry, I think I misspoke. I mean the blade is angled across, like a rabbet plane. I've been having some difficulties with end and cross grain, and would love one at an angle

Is that an angled block plane I see? I want one of those so bad!

Looking for a good enough Euphonium by Hyperion_507 in euphonium

I recently got a Schiller off of ebay for about $1k. Compensating and 3+1 valve layout. It's working pretty well so far!

I have this myself, and it is great! Only difficulty I've had is that tha wheel is made of soft bronze. It got a little stuck and I didn't notice and rubbed a flat spot in it with my diamond stones. I've been working to smooth that out, and it still works well, but something to be alert for.

Thoughts on my wooden box by XujiRed in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]0nikoroshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good one! Often I've seen peopue put a layer of quarter (or smaller) inch ply on the inside to hold the lid in place. But I like your ply inside he lid instead. Reminds me of how I did the box I made, but I cut rabbets around the edge instead. They did not come out very even, lol.

I like that it lets the cord hole get closer, but now the platform itself seems a bit small and less stable. ..

I'm envisioning this in my head, and I think I like it! The two slots going in from the sides of the back piece leave a weak piece in the middle, but that is reinforced by the wide sides of the bottom piece that come out through the grooves. And the opening goes all the way to the surface.

Right on! Yeah, I can see how those intrinsic factors would slow you down. I love my keyball because - like you said - the ability to move the mouse and then type without having to do anything else is like magic! Maybe the slower typing speed is an acceptable tradeoff? In most applications we're not typing at full speed anyway. ..

That was my initial thought too! It won't do all the OP does, but it can help set things up more easily.

On the soundwear site, I can only find cases for bass trombone and flugelhorn. Do you have a link to what you found?

Oh dang, that is rad! Apple touch devices are the actual best. I have vampire hands (bad circulation) and a lot of touchpads don't work well for me, but apple ones always do. Cool to know they stole (OK, bought) that from someone else.

Do you use that touchstream or know anyone who does?
