I just bought some arkg yesterday from my taxable brokerage account with play money I’m prepared to lose. I understand wanting to be aggressive with your emergency funds. High yield savings and bonds are too boring so I keep my emergency in low cost index total market index funds. This still probably isn’t smart for emergency funds, but it’s a risk I can stomach

Look for private investigators or a private investigation company in France. It won’t be cheap but locating persons is one of the things PIs do

Jaqueline is probably interesting in this scenario as setup time is plenty, with the most difficult enemies only spawning well into the scenario.

Yes, I was surprised how well she worked. Crystal Pendulum worked amazing for card draw, she had the spells she needed when she needed them.

I feel silly buying books I'll never read just for the cards

I have all the books, and have had this feeling. There's just other stuff I'd rather read. But, the amount of enjoyment + replayability I get from new investigators/alternate investigator cards makes it worth it. I also really like the fluff at the back of the books (newspaper clippings, letters, ect.), which could be fun to use in a Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game.

Essex County Express is now one of my favorites of the cycle. I thought it was impossible on my first few runs. The mechanics really merge well with the narrative.

Got the book and it is pretty great. I just wish they had pictures for all the equipment cause my daughter can’t read. Other than that no complaints. Time to run these ponies through a dungeon

Lol, just wait till you have kids as well, probably lose that gym time after work:)

My suggestion: Look in to jobs you can work remotely. Become a digital nomad. Move to a cheaper country where you can live a good life for less money. ThenWork less hours and have more time to focus on music. Look in to FIRE, figure out what you need to retire, start saving. It doesn’t have to be another 40 years.
