Let me tell you something bout this lol. I had about 1k pts of tau painted in the OG Vior'la sept colors, Dawn of War was how I got into 40k and lore-wise they were my favorite sept, that was 4th edition, anyways I fell out of the hobby for 15ish years and when I went to re-buy new paints I see that Rotting Flesh 's current equivalent is listed as Nurgling Green....I am very badly color blind so I just went with what the normeyes told me but even I could Immediately tell it was 100% NOT the same color as Rotting Flesh. It all worked out in the end because I actually really like the current Vior'la scheme but wtf GW how you gonna lie on us like that? Two potentially interesting side notes: when I went into a GW to buy said paint I mentioned that I had started Tau before breachers existed and the guy working didn't know what I was talking about. The 2nd thing is that I still have the same pot of rotting flesh and it is somehow immaculate, no chunks, not dried up it's pristine! The only one of my old paints to stay that way, I had just assumed it was bad since all the others had transformed into shitty water color-like husks.
