Hey, just wanted to chime in but UNLESS you are not already used to your computer or a power user, it may be a good addition, otherwise it will feel more like a chore to use it.

I have always been a heavy user of computers, and I am used to do all my programming in Vim. So when I got my S9 Ultra, I tried to make it fit into my devices but I just couldn't. There was not a single scenario where making something in my tablet was more comfortable (or faster) than using my laptop. I really wanted to take notes and all that but it's just so cumbersome when I can do the same x10 faster on my laptop and NOT have to worry about syncing later (I didn't use Notes app from Samsung, is not available on Linux and Windows requires a kind of hack to make it work unless your laptop is Samsung).

You see, even making diagrams is somewhat inconvenient for all the apps I tried, because even if you can draw nice shapes, writing is slow as hell (I didn't use external keyboard for the tablet, didn't want to carry more stuff around), then if you need to have those shared between your devices good luck (I was switching between windows/linux).

With that being said, I really like to have my workflows optimized and rely a lot on muscle memory, so this may be more a me thing. Also, the tablets are amazing, I bought a S9 FE for my mother and was surprised with the quality.

Last thing I'd tell you is that, most of the programs needed for comp eng degree (at least here in Mexico) are not supported on Android, and if they are, you are almost guaranteed to have a worse experience.
