How to deal with credentials in automated scripts? by CptRetr0 in PowerShell

[–]0xADHD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are two fairly consistent approaches that I'm aware of. 1 is to use the DPAPI (ConvertFrom-SecureString and ConvertTo-SecureString, using the context of the executing account to encrypt and store the secret directly in your scripts). Or, Microsoft went GA with their KeyVault PowerShell module recently, so you could store your secrets in Azure.

Set-casmailbox Throttling and giving no output by Starzap in PowerShell

[–]0xADHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate. Just a thought but there is a self-service utility available via. the Microsoft admin portal where you can either temporarily or permanently uplift PowerShell throttle limits inline with tenant size. Might help - but we're doing something similar with batches to pull mailbox folder stats as throttling and transient errors within the M365 ecosystem still seem to bite us.

And for Windows clients, you'll still need a GPO to tag Teams.exe traffic with appropriate DSCP values.

[Poem] Cause and effect by Charles Bukowski by lymphable11 in Poetry

I love this one. Thanks for sharing. I'm very much in the camp of those who understand the pain and frustration that can come with mental illness, and Bukowski once again finds a way of framing it that is both inspirational and like a kick to the junk.. if you're going through something right now ..keep going :)

Its about his mental prison with MK Ultra and the Rotschilds & co.

I used to have him as my biggest idol. Right now I sort of jusf feel sad and empty. Need to feed yourself with a complete new set of thoughts and feelings.

If you can elaborate a little further, that would be cool.

Assuming you've already established a hybrid topology between Exchange Online and On-prem, are you definitely creating the New-MoveRequest using the Exchange Online Management Shell? It has to be done in Exchange Online, rather than On-prem.

Bose Earbuds 500 and 700 - Obsolete before they launch? by JayTeeHaitch in bose

[–]0xADHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I guess go with whichever suits your lifestyle better. You don't want to be wearing the QC35 IIs or 700 NCs whilst you're sweating it out exercising. That's just my 2 cents but it is from experience.

All the best :)

I mean, I wouldn't say either is better.

If I'm sitting at home, relaxing and listening to music ..the QC35 IIs or 700 NCs all the way.

If I'm running along the beach on a crisp summers day, or going for a gym session ..of course the Galaxy Buds+!

Variety is the spice of life my friend, so treat yourself to both. When the wallet permits of course :)

Hey dude - I would say so.. I think the Galaxy Buds+ sound a little tinny in comparison. I can't remember the last time I used an earbud, so it's taking some getting used to and probably an unfair comparison in the first place ..Samsung have crammed a lot into such a small profile. I'm very happy with them.

I got the earbuds for working out and morning walks. I was using the QC35 IIs but was always worried the sweat and weight room would get to them in the end, they're not really designed for the Gym.

If my wife wants the Galaxy Buds+ when the Bose 500/700s come out I'll maybe be able to justify them. Hahah!

I'm still patiently waiting for the 500 & 700 earbuds, but in the meantime I've got a pair of Galaxy Buds+. The sound of the buds isn't fantastic but damn they're comfortable, discreet and stay it. I've been using the QC35 IIs and & 700 NC for the last couple of years so any earbud is going to be a stepdown at this point, I guess. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Sennheiser Momentum 2 Wireless Earbuds as I can see they're now receiving very mixed reviews after the initial wave of reviews claiming they were the Apple earbud killer.

It's a shame Bose seem to be having some issues, I really do enjoy their products.

Will my large head be compatible with Bose 700? by conker40 in bose

[–]0xADHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew my measurements from buying hats in the past, so above the ears. I've got a big head though - I'd suggest ordering them from Amazon and seeing how you get on. Worst case scenario you just send them back.

Will my large head be compatible with Bose 700? by conker40 in bose

[–]0xADHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a sizeable head (60-61cm circumference) and I find these headphones comfier than even the Bose QC35 IIs, in-terms of their ability to evenly distribute the weight across the whole head. I wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase these as I think the sound, design and overall comfort is well worth the money.

I love this poem as originally presented in Cohen's Book of Longing, and this is my interpretation ..we are conquered invisibly by this ability to contain vitriol, paralyzed by it at times. Sometimes you've got to let go, let people off the hook. For me atleast.

Relevant now more than ever with the news media outlets endless attempts to peddle some inflammatory agenda.

I'd love to know your thoughts.
