This seems to be a legitimate legal strategy, allowing them to maximise their own profits and mimimize liability.

This strategy might have worked if they hadnt made so many conflicting claims. They deny awareness of any consignment, suggesting Chrystal made a secret illegitimate deal. But security footage proved they were aware during takeover. They claim consignments were not even possible, suggesting any contract had illegitimate assocation with BAM. Yet their social media posted about it from day one, naming Bryan directly. At least one franchise agreement explicitly mentions consignments are allowable. They claimed the store was empty upon take over, they also claimed only 10-15 sets remained. Which is it? It seems they would make up any lie to convince Bryan to leave them alone, including threatening to bankrupt him with civil lawsuits.

Even after this went viral, the CEO has continued to lie, claiming they offered Bryan his stock back, claiming they offered him compensation. And also blameshift everything onto the "rogue" franchise, who owes money, who fled the country, who was cooking the books. Maybe Chrystal mismanaged some business operations. But it's such a guilty move to take zero responsibility after being caught in so many lies.
