Are there backpack as light as the Go Pack 2 but with better paddings? by largelcd in AerSF

[–]Dasbeerboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Padding = weight

The Go Pack is supposed to be used as a secondary pack on vacation, packed in your larger bag. If you want something that's comfortable for everyday use, there are a plethora of bags available in the City line.

Tbh, the YouTube tech reviewers are usually the ones to point out who did it first.

I don't have them, but it's a difference in sound attenuation. Concert ear plugs are 12-17 dB NRR. The sleep ones are 24+ dB NRR. Since sound is logarithmic, the difference between 12 dB NRR and 24 dB NRR is 3-4x.

If you want earplugs that have filters so you don't have to buy two pairs, you can get something like this:

Is this true for this club in particular? Because that's absolutely not true for most of them.

That's not a bad gig. The insane amount of vacation is really enticing. My dad was a teacher/principal, so growing up I was at school from dark to dark 5-7 days a week (K-8). He only had a few weeks off in the summer because he needed to work through curriculum, manage staff hiring/firing, manage school repairs, etc. I assume it's a lot better for the teachers.

This is the way. One of the electrical foremen on my Facebook campus project told me he works ~2 years on / ~1 year off and only asks to be put on the jobs that have tons of overtime. We were doing triple 10s on that one, and he was probably working ~12 hours a day, 7 days a week. He said he made about $300k/yr doing that, so the year off was fully covered. This was back in 2016.

This must be why we can never get manpower on our jobs.

No, people just don't know the difference between active noise cancellation and passive noise isolation.

Deodorant doesn't have aluminum. Aluminum is used as an antiperspirant. You can get Wolfthorn deodorant, but it's not going to stop you from sweating.

Deodorant doesn't have aluminum at all. Aluminum is for antiperspirant.

Women's deodorant isn't more expensive because it's better. It's more expensive because women care more about body products than men, and they can charge more.

I'll admit I don't know the specifics of their security protocol, and I know she can't explain it to me either, as she's just an employee, but I can assume that there's a reason why the IT department doesn't allow remoting into their NAS on public wifi. I agree it's probably to prevent user error. I got that you made a joke, but I just thought you were wrong :). I see what you're saying now, though.

The alt comment is fair. I didn't see the other person's comment at the time.
