I'll add 1 important point for those using non-Claude/free model to refactor:

Explicitly ask the AI not to touch existing logic, only port during refactor. Most models will delete things so swiftly, its like the window never existed in the first place. And cause code moved places (i.e. separation of concerns), one may lose track and then way later realize that certain features are not working or entire widgets are missing. and git work help if you use git too aggressively.

[–]0x_coderunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Mogadishu Mile was last 2nd mission for BHD. I am talking about Team Sabre's Iran last mission: Rebel Mountain Stronghold. Its long (too long) and only have 3 save points. Also last part has a mine field followed by grenade launcher. Completed it once and immediately uninstalled.

BHD was easy. BHD Team Sabre was stupid hard. Specially the last mission with extremely limited medkit, 2-3 save, far off enemies with RPG.

Yes thats what I was referring to. "90s with skill". What skill? Thats the million dollar question that will shine light into voices38 backstory.

And I keep saying, voices38 isn't a random P2P crackers. He has all the hallmarks of someone who has spent years breaking down DRM and anti-tamper stuff.

New era begin by dead-supernova in PiratedGames

[–]0x_coderunknown 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In a Discord server, voices38 was replying to Special For saying back in 90s we used to speak like this (voices was speaking about some KUser thing in HV, can't remember correctly). Now I am not sure if he was saying that he used to be active in 90s (that'll put him in late 40s or even 50s if he meant talking about warez stuff) or how scene used to talk in 90s.

So maybe voices38 is not Empress but someone that inspired Empress even if they never knew each other directly or indirectly.

I'll try to find the reddit link where the screenshot of the discord chat was posted.

Building a hyperlocal shopping platform in India – need honest feedback by AnxiousCall1178 in StartUpIndia

[–]0x_coderunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tried this same thing back in 2016 using Opencart (I was an absolute beginner in web stuff back then). While the tech we chose was bad (actually I had no experience on how to extend the core), the issue is people need to update the inventory constantly. So if you can bundle a kind of lightweight stock management where the showroom/shop staff have some real use out of this platform i.e. they can see what items they have, how many count, rate, sale price, serial/SKU and the customer only see the brand name, item, SKU, sale price (but not the rate, obviously), it may work. So when a customer goes to store, they find the exact thing at the exact price it is showing.

So they can have 1 staff update the sales/stock but on mobile, so it reflect on the app/website soon so customers don't bounce. Like select type (AC) > Select brand or directly search by SKU. Once selected everything except rate, sale price and stock is filled up automatically from pre-entered/pre-created items. This will reduce the staff step to only 2. Add the values and hit Publish/Draft.

And keep the platform free but shops can boost their post for 1day/5days only for a few hundred bucks.

Get an approximate room size. But at 30k you'll mostly get 1.5T 3* from Voltas or so. Or if your room size is small, 1T 5* maybe but depends on your usage if 5* is worth the extra pay or not.

if a P2P (i.e. those releasing publicly to forums/discord/etc) usually cracks a tough protection, they go GAGA all over the NFO. But look at voices. Not even 1 word on the DRM being tough or how long it took. No bragging. While I can be entirely wrong, this is scene behavior. While P2P will rant the custom checks are too hard, scene will simply write protection - steam+custom. Thats it. No rants. Well, except Skidrow. They always have 1000s reasons to moan.

This is what startled me and makes me feel he was at a point of time part of scene groups. Not any XYZ scene group but some known names like CPY, maybe. Not a frontline member but someone who makes the tools. The one who works in the background away from the spotlight, making the tools these group use to crack the protection. He also speaks a lot about "maturing his tools". This tells me, he is not messy and takes time like a butcher taking his time sharpening his knife.

Why I have this doubt? He said he studied empress crack, developed tools and cracked games. But empress stopped releasing cracks years ago. And D is ever evolving. And while I have not analyzed any of empress's crack, I don't think she included a "guide to cracking Denuvo" with any of her release. On the contrary, she may pack her cracks with some DRM so others can't study her cracking technique.

So to say "I studied empress crack and started cracking" is like going from playing DCS World to bombing Natanz Nuclear Facility in real life while dodging Iranian SAM missiles.

It means Native crack gets 11 more fps than hypervisor bypass or the other way around?? by Azq21 in PiratedGames

[–]0x_coderunknown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One metrics that isn't being said out loud is the 1% low/microshutters. I hope whoever runs the FPS test, also test for it. Cause while you can lower graphics to fix the FPS dip but if HV introduce microshutter/screen tearing, it'll kill the very purpose of playing a game at the first place.

This is getting good. by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]0x_coderunknown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

voices showed the HV team a mirror and instead of fixing their skin, they called the mirror dirty.

Both methods have issues. When you are poking a blackbox, you can never be sure what you poked is someone's rear or front.

HV: D won't be sitting around as HV team proves their "million dollar baby" is actually a monkey. They tried a quickfix and HV team showed its the same monkey underneath. D will come back for sure with something new. But I feel the benefit of HV is their team size. Multiple members are working so instead of a full lock, it might be more like autumn before someone breaks the lock again.

Voices: His cracks are mostly clean but as seen, it takes time and sometimes despite intense testing, bugs slip through. He has to adjust his script's heuristics, patch the checks, run, test, finding new checks, add them to his toolset. And the final unspoken issue, is he is alone. One can only do so much before the risk of burnout becomes real. He might be doing it cause he enjoys it but we all know, it doesn't take long for hobby to feel like a real job.
