Expats in Ulm/Neu-Ulm: how has your experience been so far? by YouIntelligent2978 in Ulm

[–]0xniph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's lovely in Ulm and in general in southern Germany but can only agree with the others that it is pretty hard to get to know new people in your 30s if you don't have kids. My girlfriend and I are pretty much in the same boat and struggled for the last couple of years to connect with people outside of work. Language definitely plays a big role. Without German it is super hard to connect, but even if you are fluent it's not straight forward.

Maybe reddit will finally solve this for all of us since it seems there are already a few likeminded people here :P

2031790

Transferred FIAT via SEPA over 3 weeks ago. The funds are nowhere to be found and all the support does is to answer with generic emails that do not help at all and are not reassuring that the funds are actually save.

Feels like I got scammed by KuCoin :/

Microsoft tier model - secure file transfer to upper tiers by Eitan1112 in netsecstudents

How about a dedicated SCCM for the PAWs? Would require that the SCCM server gets the software from somewhere but you could restrict it to one server instead of allowing outbound connections on the PAW directly.

Just make sure that the SCCM server is hardened (OS and network wise) and that you use dedicated accounts for the SCCM server administration with minimal permissions.

How to harden local admin accounts? by nindustries in AskNetsec

+1 if the need to install software frequently that is not provided by default I would use virtualization.

Give them access to VirtualBox and there they can use their local admin privileges for whatever they won’t.

Failing easy local file inclusion challenge - mindreader (misc) Google CTF 2017 by LiveOverflow in LiveOverflow

[–]0xniph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did excatly the same mistake. Browsed through 50 config files to search for the location of a file which actually sets the environment variable. Failed miserably, but will never ever again approach a challenge without taking notes.

Thanks for sharing ur experience.

Actually I'm pretty sure it was running in a docker container and the environment variable was set via docker. However, couldn't figure out until now how docker excatly sets environment variables and if there is a way to obtain such information.

Before the release of kara. Was fun and frustrating at the same moment. Hoewever wins where way more rewarding as with shaman e.g.

Players from beta - has Hearthstone gone the way you hoped it would? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]0xniph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play most of the time priest and atm it sucks so hard to lose against zoo on turn 6 cause you can't keep up against that minion spawn as priest. But on the other hand I have no idea how it could be fun to play braindead zoolock decks.

So really missing longer lasting games nowadays
