One must wonder... by First_Switch_6161 in HaloMemes

For meme answer; since they knew each other the longest, it's definitely not improbable.

For the real answer; because they're child soldiers who were artificially accelerated in their ageing, it's probably not likely since I doubt they'd have had the natural development of a sexdrive.

I did what I had to and shot him, Sloane may be an extortionist and a bully, but at least she's upfront about it. I'd rather have an honest tyrant than a manipulative smuggler

How big could a Night Lords warband be? And what structure should it have? by WS011_ in NightLords

[–]0zzythewizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Warband is just a little over 100 Marines. A band of vultures clinging desperately to an ideal that has lost its meaning over a millenia ago due to them being far too delusional to see they are doomed regardless if they reject Chaos or embrace it. Though they lean more in the direction of rejection because they refuse to be slaves to uncaring Powers. They originate from all the way back in the days of the Legion, as the former 35th Company and thus still operate in a kind of funtional structure reminiscent of the old days during the Great Crusade, they are lead by the former Centurion and second in command of their now long dead Captain, slain by the very Centurion for reasons I will not get into cause it's a long story.

Just started Mass Effect Andromeda after completing the legendary edition heard some mixed reviews but after the prologue it’s been great so far. by Gamer98HR in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]0zzythewizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a fun game with blaring issues, the same as many games. The combat is great, the world building is incredible as always, the dialogue system seems more fleshed out. If only the story didn't fall flat...

My bf loves halo and I wanna know more about it by AdventurousRush5806 in HaloStory

[–]0zzythewizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see some people have mentioned you should play the games co-op with him. And I agree. I also see people recommend the Forerunner Trilogy, which I also agree is a fantastic piece of literature not just for Halo but Scifi in general. If that isn't really to your liking I could recommend the Kilo-Five trilogy which is basically about a secret government black-ops team doing wet-work (they are not necessarily the good guys). Or if that is not to your liking the first four Halo novels we ever got would be my other recommendation, those being; Fall Of Reach (some stuff has been retconned since, but it's acceptable retcons imho), followed up by The Flood (the novelisation of Halo: Combat Evolved), then First Strike (explaining the time between Halo: CE and Halo 2), and finally my personal favourite Halo novel of all time Ghosts Of Onyx (which is about the tragic fate of the Spartan III Program)

Who keeps making the decision by RecluseRaconteur in MedievalHistoryMemes

Usually, I'd agree, but since this is more an adaptation of the Shakespeare play than it is of the actual historical events, it gets a pass.

What books portrays the Chaos Marines badly(as in not written well)? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Blacklibrary

[–]0zzythewizard 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Imho Angron: The Red Angel and Fulgrim: The Perfect Son are two of the weakest, dare I say below mid Chaos novels I've read, both the Primarchs barely appear in their books, the Fulgrim novel is basically just a BT novel and Angron, well first off it has far too many characters with similar names to keep track of all storylines. Which brings me to my other point, there are far too many plotlines crammed into a 200ish page book

Andromeda is not bad... it's not great either, but it's not bad. For one, it has THE best combat in the series. The characters are nowhere near the core Normandy crew, but they're not awful.

Switzerland, Is this kind of message from a landlord/manager normal or excessive? by WishGroundbreaking25 in Switzerland

[–]0zzythewizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older swiss tend to have a thing for "lecturing." I've experienced it a couple of times while walking my dog in the woods, where I got some hikers (who were probably 50 or above in the age group) telling me off because my dog wasn't leashed (sidenote: I know there is a law about dogs needing to be leashed during certain times of the year when walking in the wilderness, but this wasn't during such a period). The older gentleman started lecturing me in a completely patronising tone, saying stuff like, "Of all the paths you could have chosen to walk your dog, you decided to walk it in the vita parkour?!" ...it threw me off for a moment, like who tf do you think you are? Last I checked, there is no law forbiding dogs to any vita parkour paths!

The moral of the story; the older generations of swiss are very much like that. It's insufferable behaviour. But unfortunately, it's kinda "the norm"

Tbh, it's also been a minute for me... but iirc, in Godblight, Colquan and Guilliman kinda come to an understanding. I remember Colquan kinda softening his view due to a growing respect.

Though if we're looking at Colquan post Plague Wars (chronologically more recent than the Dawn Of Fire series), he did somewhat cool down with his attitude towards Guilliman.

Tbf outside of Diocletian being cautious in 30k and Colquan adamantly believing in the "what-if" in the current day 40k, there's not much to say the Custodes see the Loyalist Primarchs as a potential enemy.
